I have hiked up Table Mountain before but wanted to try a new route so contacted this company to book a trip. I was in SA on a short business trip so my time wasn't very flexible but fortunately Table Mountain Walks were. Within two hours of landing at CPT, Pietro picked me up from my hotel, drove to a... Margaret Curran guided a work colleague and me in January '17 and when I came back to CPT on holiday with my family I asked her to take us on the Platteklip walk. My wife and daughters (10 and 13) enjoyed it as much as I did, with glorious weather to accompany us.

In March we decided to walk the mountain instead of just go with the cable car. As we have an 8 year old boy, we were concerned he would hate it. We did the Platteklip Gorge with the guidance of Pietro. WE LOVED IT! Our son ran to the top (with a little incentive of getting an icecream...) but he... More

This year I did the walk up from Camps Bay via the Valley of Desolation with Margaret. There were three walkers in the group. Although we could probably have walked it on our own, Margaret's added value is her knowledge of the geology, flora and fauna as well as not having to worry about finding the way. Well worth paying... More

We set off through the botanical gardens with Margaret as with four children of 12, 10, 10 (all boys) and 7 (girl) we wanted to make sure it was a positive experience for them. They are all very fit and healthy children who play a lot of sport but we still knew it would be a tough hike for them.... More

There are several treks to the top, also nice walks on the top. Probably the most common walk to the top starts just next right from cable car, but you can do it also from Kirstenbosch side. Takes 2 hours if you are fit, but 3-4 hours for most of people. Technically not very tough, but physically pretty demanding... it... More

I arrived in Cape Town on a Friday, after having done an amazing juice detox with capetownretreats and felt I needed to climb a mountain to complete the week! So - Table Mountain it was. I searched the web for a good guide, and came across Margaret and her team. They were absolutely amazing and accommodated me for the Saturday... More

Walked up table mountain with Maragaret as a guide. Margaret ably assessed the best walk for us & the walk made our holiday. I have never done trekking before but am reasonably fit for my age. The walk took about 2 hours & Margaret pointed out lots of things if interest, she is a mine of information. Really helped with... More

We walked up table mountain with Margaret who was a professional and knowledgable guide, she showed us the way up Platteklip gorge early one morning and made me feel at ease despite it being my first climb. It was also one of the hottest days and we went at a steady pace reaching the top in 2 hours. Amazing views... More

What a fantastic trip. The hike up the Platteklip Gorge was invigourating on a fresh, bright sunny morning - stunning views from all the way up and especially of course at the top. Took much less time than expected - only two hours to get to the top. Next time would like to do a longer hike. The guide, Pietro,... More
