About
Ride Down South offers guided motorcycle tours of Cape Town, the Western Cape and Southern Africa. Our tours include single-day trips around the Cape peninsula and multi-day adventures into the Cederberg, Karoo, Cape Fold mountains, Garden Route, Wild Coast, Kruger Park and around Southern Africa. We use qualified, local guides and operate our own fleet of Honda Africa Twin 750cc motorcycles.

Did a 24 day ride over 6,000km from Malawi through Mozambique and South Africa to Cape Town.
Fantastic experience, great riding with plenty of variety. The scenery and locations we visited were exceptional.
Andrew Vaughan was an excellent tour leader, making sure all riders were within their comfort zone. Everything was well organized.
Highly recommended 👌

Brilliant 21 day Adventure which delivered many positive surprises with a small diverse group of 4 riders + Guide Andy who did an exceptional job.I would strongly reccommend to anyone of any age (I am 63 young ) who wants to blow out the cobwebs & do some adventure riding with very nice accommodations waiting at the end of the day.

Andrew from ride down south is the most perfect guide will bespoke tours for you nothing is too much trouble from booking to riding the organisation was first class his bikes are well maintained and nice to ride

Where do I start. What an amazing day we had with Andrew absolutely amazing tour guide. Having been on other tours with different companies across the globe who don’t really know the history ect it was great that Andrew knew what he was taking about. He knows all the history behind each stop and is happy to answer any questions you may have.
Didn’t feel rushed at all throughout the day and he even stopped to point out things I didn’t notice.
At the end of the day he even recommended different routes we could take on our own bike and was happy to share his experiences with different areas of South Africa.
10 out of 10 would recommend him to anyone that is looking to explore on a motorbike

I have just returned from a trip to Cape Town with six friends, three of us decided to take the one day trip to Hermanus which was amazing. We saw incredible scenery, our drivers were very well experienced and ensured our safety at all times. This was a fantastic way to see the beautiful South African landscape. I would recommend Ride Down South to anyone looking for an exhilarating way to see amazing views.

My wife and I (she offered me the trip as a honeymoon gift) had a great time riding to Cape Point. Andrew is a perfect gentleman and a consumate professional with a lot of experience. Would recommend to any motorcycle rider and I'd come back anytime!

We just came back from the trip of our lifetime! A 5 day motorbike tour around garden route and route 62 with Ride Down South. Andrew was very experienced and easy going guide. We are more like beginner with the riding motorbikes but Andrew made it feel easy and safe. I highly recommend him, nothing is too much for him and we had excellent info about our route, the nice spots and the country in general.

My husband and I took a one day trip around the Cape Peninsula on a classic Honda Africa Twin. It was an incredible day, with plenty of stops at amazing view points including the Cape of Good Hope. Andrew was a great guide - he helped us find whales in the bay near Simon's Town, told us loads of interesting info about the area and was generally good fun to hang out with. The bike was spot on and we enjoyed it so much, my husband is considering buying one. We'd love to return sometime and take one of the longer trips!
