Jewel of Africa Safaris is a tour & safari operator conducting professional guided and self-drive tours and safaris in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia. We handle all arrangements, tours and safaris for large inbound groups, FIT and incentive groups. We have 18 years’ experience in travel and tourism across Southern Africa, however, the company is now 12 years old – registered in 2004. We offer luxury safaris in the Kruger Park region as well as Malaria free safaris in other areas of South Africa. Jewel of Africa Safaris currently also offers luxury Southern Africa Holidays and vacations in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. We offer packages for medium and large groups, families, golfers and romantic Honeymoon and much more! Visit Africa and you will see for yourself that: You may leave Africa, But Africa Will never leave you!

My wife and I knew we always wanted to go to South Africa for our honeymoon, but when we started to do our research into the trip, we were quickly overwhelmed with information. Thankfully we were recommended Jewel of Africa and could not have been more happy with the service they provided leading up to the trip, all the way to our last flight heading home.
Our first leg of the trip was spent on safari and that truly was a magical experience. We were incredibly lucky to have Kobus as our tour guide through the self driving portion. We truly appreciated his wealth of knowledge about all the animals and plant life and it was a great way to get acclimated to the bush. We then continued our safari experience with two private game lodges, where the animal viewing and accommodations were spectacular (I think there was only one day we went without seeing a leopard)! When there are so many choices and options when it comes to a safari vacation, Jewel of Africa made it so much easier on us to not have to worry about a thing, other than just enjoying ourselves.
From safari, we traveled south and started our second leg of the journey, driving the garden route. JOA also had this whole portion of our trip well planned out. Our accommodations, primarily at boutique hotels, blew us away. Specifically, the guest houses we stayed at in Knysna and Hermanus were our favorites, with great views, amenities and customer service that would wow anyone.
We cannot thank Jewel of Africa enough for making our honeymoon truly special. We were amazed at the level of detail and care JOA put into our itinerary and how smooth everything went. We didn't spend a minute of our trip worrying about logistics because we knew Neil and Kobus had everything set up. We would highly recommend using Jewel of Africa for your next southern Africa trip!

We had an amazing trip.to south Africa and Zimbabwe. Jewel of Africa took care of every aspect of our trip to make it an unforgettable experience. It was very easy to plan the trip with Neil. He knew exactly what we wanted after I spoke to him on the phone. Picked the right tours and accommodation for us. Elize was very prompt on replying to my emails and answering all our questions. Thanks once again for arranging this wonderful travel experience for us.

Amazing trip, all of the accommodations, day trips, private guide, food and itinerary were exemplary! Great service, agent available throughout the trip and easily made minor adjustments. Trip of a lifetime! I would definitely recommend Neil and his team to anyone looking for a 5 star trip! A special callout to our private guide Malcolm. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and just a nice guy!

We were lucky enough to book with Jewel of Africa Safaris for our honeymoon! They took care of planning our transfers, arrivals, gave a very detailed list of packing do’s and don’t’s, and booked us at &Beyond Ngala Tented Camp, Mala mala in Sabi sands, and Victoria Falls Island Lodge-Zambezi Crescent. All of the accommodations were stunning and they took great care of us. Couldn’t recommend working with them more for any special occasions coming up! Neil personally called us and messaged with us to help facilitate our wants/needs, and short notice changes. Thank you again!

We went with Jewel of Africa to help plan our Honeymoon in South Africa and we are SO glad that we did! Neil and Elize planned and booked everything for our dream honeymoon, taking into account our interests and making sure every day would be a special and memorable one. They were super responsive and made sure we were so well taken care of during our trip. Our on the ground guide Hannah was phenomenal, full of information, stories and ensuring we got every where safely. She was a delight to be around and truly made our trip even more special. All of the accommodations Jewel of Africa booked for us were exceptional and our experience at the safari lodge was one of the best of our lives thanks to Neils guidance. He also went above and beyond to help get us reservations at very popular and exclusive restaurants, knowing that food is big part of what we love discovering while travelling. We would highly recommend using Jewel of Africa as your travel agency for a trip that you will never forget.

With the help of Jewel of Africa Safaris I had the most amazing trip! Their knowledge and professionalism made for a stress free holiday. I did a 4 day safari at Arathusa Safari Lodge - the accommodations were 5 star, extremely comfortable, with great food and wonderful staff. The drives were a daily adventure where I saw all the big 5 up close!! Then I went onto 5 days of relaxing luxury beach experience at Machangulo Beach Lodge in Mozambique - again wonderful accommodations and lovely staff. Everyone involved with my holiday were absolutely lovely and that’s all thanks to Jewel of Africa Safaris!! If I get a chance to visit Africa again, I would use Jewel of Africa Safaris.

We had GREAT time in Africa! It truly exceeded all our expectations
What a wonderful experience
When asked what was my favorite - they ALL were!
The decor at Rattrays & Leeu Estates - the lobby and rooms so well appointed; the food was delicious
and the Spas.....ahhhhh.......
Just wanted to thank you both Neil & Elize for everything
We now have khaki fever and will definitely be returning to Africa

Elize was fabulous, helping us organise our trip and took the time to understand what we wanted to do. Some of the internal travel times were a little off, but overall it was an excellent trip. Elize was always quick to reply and sent us plenty of infomation throughout the trip to keep us up to date. Jewel of Africa has great local knowledge and would recommend going through them over an agent in your own country. Nothing was too hard and great to organise transfers for airports as well.

I would highly recommend Jewel of Africa to organise your travels in South Africa, we stubbled across them on TripAdvisor but they couldn’t have done enough, flights, accommodation, drivers and safari tours. We had the trip of a lifetime, provided contacts along the way, Elize was amazing very helpful, put a package together to suit us.

My husband, mom, and I had a wonderful time exploring Namibia and Cape Town, thanks to Jewel of Africa Safaris! Our guide, Kobus, made this journey unforgettable with his expertise, passion, and contagious love of adventure. Highlights of our trip include safari rides in Etosha to see all of the incredible animals, climbing the dunes in beautiful Sossusvlei, and paragliding over the picturesque mountains of Cape Town. Our experience would not have been the same without Kobus, and Jewel of Africa Safaris, which is why we highly recommend booking with them for your next adventure!!!
