Just up Kloof Nek Road from the center of town is this thriving beach community. Plenty of trendy nightclubs, shops and cafes bring diners and shoppers, while tranquil seas and fine white sand draw sun worshippers and swimmers.

Love this place

A beautiful beach where high end folks live. The dining outlets are spectacular and there is a great vibe.

Really great vibe and atmosphere. Soft white sand but hot during the day. Sea itself is very cold but then it's the Atlantic. People selling drinks and ice cream on the beach. Wonderful for photography in the mornings and evenings.

What would our Cape Town trip would have been without some quality time spent by the beach. While many people did warn me about the cold water and all did I enjoy the time spent at Camp's Bay a lot and did go for a swim a couple of times actually. No need to be afraid of sharks - the... More

We spent an afternoon at Camps Bay Beach with the kids (14, 12, 11 and 7) and had a lovely time. The beach is insanely beautiful with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. We rented a few beach lounge chairs, the kids played in the sand and were brave enough to go into the... More

It is a very crowded place with al lot people enjoying the lovely beach. The water is cold and very few people were using it for swimming and bathing.

WOW what a beautiful setting the beach and scenery are heaven, a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by or go for a long walk. The wind can blow and the water is freezing, but never the less it stunning.

Beautiful beach. We went for a nice walk, stuck our feet in the water and then headed up to the bars for a cocktail.

With the 12 aposles behind you, no wonder its considered a top beach. However the water is quite literally ice cold. If you want warm water head to the east side of the Cape to the indian ocean.
