About
Just up Kloof Nek Road from the center of town is this thriving beach community. Plenty of trendy nightclubs, shops and cafes bring diners and shoppers, while tranquil seas and fine white sand draw sun worshippers and swimmers.

Stunning Beach in Cape Town
Apr 2021 • Couples
This beach is the best in Cape Town, but the water is very cold. Camps Bay is trendiest spot in Cape Town.

A Walk along the beach hassled all the way
Nov 2020 • Couples
We haven’t been to Camps Bay beach for a couple of years and we were shocked. Hassled by no less than 5 beggars as we tried to walk along the beach, followed by one who became aggressive and it was an uncomfortable and miserable experience. Couple that with large groups on the beach, loud, obnoxious and litter left behind by groups too lazy to throw it away sealed the fact that we will never come here again. I feel sorry for the restaurants who rely on visitors to camps bay but right now you won’t catch me here or in any of the restaurants until they clear this mess up

Nice sandy beach
Nov 2020 • Solo
Excellent, mind blowing sandy beach. A lot of space for playing beach volley ball. Other side of the beach you can find some rocks. Nice view for photo session. Outside of the beach you will found local people selling various kinds of souvenirs at comparatively cheaper price.

Dirty
Nov 2020
Really dirty despite council staff really trying. The people visiting behaved disgustingly, throwing the KFC lefts overs in the street before driving away.

LOCKDOWN REM RE: SEPTEMBER 2014
Nov 2020 • Family
IT IS GOOD TO TREASURE MEMORIES, GOOD ONES
.........I DID SO MUCH DURING LOCKDOWN

September 2014

This is from an extremely long time ago! Christine accompanied me to go drive then walk along the ocean, up on the mountain!

It was a time of BREAKING FREE for ME. It was a time to discover, for it that I realized that MY LIFE DID not have to revolve around being A STAY AT HOME MOM, so to speak and so on.
THOSE YEARS IT SEEMED I COULD ALSO SAY ANYTHING I LIKED THAN THINK BEFORE I SPEAK.

I TREASURE this TIME, STILL ❤...breaking FREE

I live in Muizenberg now and even though close to the ocean, we all were not allowed to go DURING LOCKDOWN.

I would definitely recommend walking from Victoria road, Camps Bay till Saunders Rocks and BACK 🙋

Beautiful place
Feb 2020
So many sights to see from camps bay the 12 apostles the mountain range including table mountain, lions head spectacular views & if your brave enough to swim in the very cold sea as I did for 30 seconds it’s worth it spent 10 days in 2016 8 weeks in 2017 & back there this year in November virus willing
Bus trips to all the sights & boat trip to Robbin island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned & learn the history of Apartheid & struggles for the indigenous race, trip to cape Hope where Indian meets Atlantic sea with a lighthouse up some precarious step if your brave enough to attempt
Lower down the pebbles thrown up by the turbulent sea over 3 feet in diameter show you how strong the sea is & why you must go there many ships wrecked there
So much more to do there
Many good restaurants along the front over looking the Atlantic Ocean wit fabulous sunsets safaris in Cape Town is a no no as morE like animal farms got to get flight to proper safaris i.e port Elizabeth Kariga Safari Park superb well worth the trip for 3 night

Beautiful expansive beach with great sunsets.
Jul 2019
Strikingly beautiful beach with plenty of restaurants, hotels, Airbnb offerings just across the street. The sunsets are beautiful to watch sitting out on a restaurant patio sipping a few cocktails/ beers - living the good life.
