We stayed for 1 night in one of the self catering chalets. Would recommend shopping before getting to the park as the drive between the chalets and Beaufort West is quite long and you need as much time as possible to make your way round the entire park. Would recommend a 4x4 as you can get further into the park... More

Neat set up, friendly security and well maintained roads, wish I could have spent more time there, it needs an entire day.

For many years we just drove through Beaufort West on our way to the Cape. This year we fortunately decided to explore the Karoo National Park and was well rewarded. Apart from the animals - unfortunately we didn't see any of the 24 lions, but many deer - the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. Definitely well worth a trip!

We stayed three nights in one of the excellent self-catering chalets for which I shopped at PickNPay in Beaufort West. Breakfast included in the price - ok but no more. Scenery awesome! Roads fine for ordinary car, but with a 4x4 you can travel further into the Park. Do take a guided walk or guided game drive.

I would like to start by saying that I wish we'd stayed longer. We used this as a stop over between Jhb and Cpt. We enjoyed our time at Karoo National Park SO much. We had a warm welcome from all the staff from reception to departure which made our stay extra special to have such friendly and helpful staff.... More

Beautiful place, would definitely go back. The roads for the game drives is good. The bungalows is well equiped and nicely situated. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really really good. The prices of the merchandise in the shop is a bit high for South Africans though.

Although the Karoo NP is an arid region, it still represents a wonderful game and nature experience. Facilities at the camping grounds are spot-on and well-maintained. The swimming pools at the main camp and the picnic spot are excellent and very much essential in the afternoons in summer. A drive up the Klipspringer pass is worth the effort. All-in-all a... More

Camped for the long weekend with our children (4 years old and 7 years old). The campsite was excellent! Spotless facilities! Bathroom had hot water. Kitchen had the necessities (stove tops, huge deepfreezer, boiler, etc). The best for kids and families! Secure. Kids could ride around the whole area on bikes. Kids made a lot of friends. Stunning swimming pools.... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here on our way to Cape Town. It was our fourth visit to the park but, owing to the horrific drought and high heat, game viewing. was disappointing. Our accommodation was, however, most comfortable and the airconditioning highly efficient. There is a really nice, large swimming pool. We went for both nights to... More

Great place to chill out for a couple of days, the cottages are fairly new and have all the amenities. good views of the mountains watching Kudu and Zebra;s passing by. There is also an easy to follow excellent fossil trail worth spending an hour or two on a slow walk, there is also a bird hide.
