Completing the Sylvester Karoo Hike under the guidance of Douwe and Liezl Vlok was an unbeatable and privileged experience. The route, scenery and camping spots were spectacular. Douwe and
Liezl are amazing hosts and treated us to delicious and scrumptious meals. They made the strenuous, albeit stunning hike, as comfortable and pleasurable for us as possible. I feel revived and spoilt after my wonderful experience in the Great Karoo. With Douwe and Liezl, you are in good hands.

We had a fantastic 13 days exploring Namibia, camping in the most beautiful locations. Douwe was an excellent guide. He showed us the most stunning places and helped us find lots of game, including elephants, rhinos and lions. Douwe and his team could not do enough for us. His knowledge of the fauna and flora is world-class! Thank you very much.

I spent 5 days hiking under the full moon in the Karoo with a group of girlfriends. It is the most spectacular landscape, the tranquility leaves you in awe. The rustic farm accommodation is authentic, comfortable and clean. The catering was sumptious, authentic South African food and hospitality. The hosts Liezl and Douwe know how to see to all your needs and provided many hours of entertaining tales. We all regretted that our Karoo encounter had to end… but we will be back!
