Wonderful views! I would recommend doing this route before 9am, so that you can avoid touristic buses. If you are not used to driving on the right hand side, during high season it may be a good idea to hire a driver, since the road...More
One of the places to go to Cape Town needs to go!

Very pleasant attractive drive on the way to visit Hout Bay. Our local host told us this had been built by Italian Prisoners of War, and pointed out the monitoring system tracking the movement of the mountain in case of rock falls. Lots of picnic...More
This is a beautiful drive--like the Amalfi Coast. Well worth taking if you're considering driving down the Cape Peninsula, with some stops on this drive to take photos. So beautiful if it's a sunny day, and the roads are dry!
This route is arguably one of the most beautiful routes to drive in the Western Cape. The route meanders along the cliff-face between Houtbay and Noordhoek and has a toll-fee of R 47.00 per car (subject to change). There are numerous viewing points and picnic...More
A winding drive that runs along the mountain with stellar views of the coast and nearby towns. Plenty of photo opportunities and generally a great route to take towards Noordhoek/Fish Hoek. Toll was R40+ for a regular sedan.
Picturesque drive along the coast. Just be minded that the Peak closes every day at sunset which limits the time for visits unfortunately. The toll road on the way costs R47 and you can only pay with cash or SA bank card.
The botanical garden can take all day to visit. If you want to also visit Chapman Peak you probably will need to visit the garden for only 1/2 day to leave you enough time for both but is it feasible. I see many current... More
The botanical garden can take all day to visit. If you want to also visit Chapman Peak you probably will need to visit the garden for only 1/2 day to leave you enough time for both but is it feasible. I see many current reviews stating it is open. The closure seemed to have happened in 2017. I cannot answer your question about the beach however. Definitely worth the drive. Watch out for the hundreds of cyclists who share that road with you. Go slow and enjoy the view
