On recommendation from Francois, the guest relations manager, we got a map of Sun City from the concierge and then went up to the view point to see Sun City in its totality. We could then reference all the points of interest to the map. The views are beautiful and worth the climb!

See the whole Sun City from above. Several stairs to climb but worth it. Use the righthand lift in the lift lobby to the left of the restaurant. The two other lifts stop one floor below – you will have another flight of stairs from there.

Good day.
If I am just going to suncity for a day and will not be sleeping at the palace, will I be allowed access to the Kings Tower?

Kings Tower is basically a tower at the Palace of the Lost City, if you are not staying at the Palace you are not allowed to enter the Palace and hence you can not go to the Kings Tower. A tip would be to reserve a restaurant at the Palace, this way due to your reservation you will be allowed to enter the Palace and then once in, you are free to roam around and so you can even go and see the King's Tower

The Kings Tower is one of the best kept secrets at The Palace, and one of the finest places to see the sun rise over the Pilanesberg! We went up almost every day for either sunrise or sunset and never saw another soul up there... The views in every direction are truly breathtaking and it's a welcome space for a bit of relaxation and calm before heading out for a day at The Valley of the Waves.

I did this one twice. Once with my wife when one of the Porters took us up and explain everything we could see
The next morning I went up at sunrise to take some photos. The morning was so quiet and peaceful. I got some amazing photo but they are on my camera

Best freebie at Lost City. Wonderful views! Just realising the magnitude of this amazing hotel...
I was wishing for a white table cloth and some champagne to have a sundowner...

Wonderful, yes it’s a climb up a few steps but spectacular to see. It was free for us as staying in The Palace.

The views from the top are fabulous!
It’s a climb of about 3 flights of stairs but once at the top, it’s beautiful.
You can see the mountains, gold courses, pools and the lights of the various areas.

Hi there,
It’s my first time staying at Sun City overnight, I’m staying at the Soho Hotel in Sun City. I was wondering if there is a cost to visiting King’s tower. I read somewhere that only residents staying at the Palace of The Lost City can visit the King’s tower for free.
I’m asking so that we know how much i need to budget for the King’s Tower, if anything.
Thank you in advance!
