We recently took a 2 week break and visited 4 of South Africa's national parks, namely Augrabies Falls (2 nights), Mokala ( 3 nights), Addo Elephant Park (2 nights), and the Wilderness National Park - Ebb and Flow Camp (3 nights).
At every park, the rest camps and ALL accommodations, public areas, and facilities were immaculately maintained, (the pools need a bit of TLC). The staff were professional and friendly. WORLD CLASS!!!! Working in tourism, with exclusively international travellers, we are always proudly surprised when they comment on how amazing the facilities and options are in our national parks!!!

Gerald, our guide, seemed to know where the big five were going to be. Incredible trip. Saw the big 5 but many more animals and birds. Gerald also was a mine of information about the flora and fauna in the park. Superb.

We stayed in a river frontage 3 bedded bungalow.
Nice spacious accommodation, well appointed, clean and well serviced during our 3 night stay.
The overhead fan in the bedroom did not work and could not be fixed during our stay.
Kitchen / second bedroom fan did work well.
Baboons where around in camp, be aware and keep doors and windows closed.
Looking forward to our next visit, it’s a lovely camp well situated for good game viewing.

This park is unique to the world. It's been a treasure for over a hundred years. It's a very special place. Where else can one have such a place on one's doorstep in South Africa. True, it's not everyone's favorite, but to most it is.
Take a page out of your travel journal and dedicate it to the parks(s) of South Africa

Whether you do a self drive day trip (or even for a few hours) or whether an over night stay (or 2 or 3 or more nights), a visit to the KNP is a must. If you are a tourist to South Africa this should be on your itinerary as it rates as one of the top places to view game in the wild. For locals who haven't yet made the trip it is time to take the opportunity and do so. So much has been written about the game and bird life that it would not do justice to add more for the sake of adding more. You WILL see and experience something and the recommendation is to go in the drier, cooler seasons when the bush is not so thick.

This safari was definitely out of my comfort zone, but totally worth it! I LOVED it! Staff was kind. Great restaurants in park.

We did a self drive in a normal car. Came in via Numbi gate and came out via Paul Kruger gate. Roads were in good condition and rest stop amenities were clean. Stopped at one of the lodges for lunch. Saw lots of animals but the highlight was 4 large giraffes blissfully munching away at the side of the road and totally ignoring us. Cost us 800 rand to enter the park and worth every cent. I had read many stories about self drive but we had no problems.
Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing 4 days (3 nights staying at Skukuza Lodges in the park) with over 1,000 pics taken. Big five ticked off and unbelievable experience of watching a pride of lions eating a recently killed buffalo with a crocodile, hyenas and vultures all coming for a look.

Had a few visits to the Kruger Park, visiting over several days. We also entered through different gates/access points. The best by far was the Paul Kruger entrance, as it was not as busy and seemed better organised. We used a Sanparks wild card
The park was very dry so viewing was good and saw plenty of various animals, however no leopards.
Lots of tortoises, which is unusual.
The stop off points, and shops were very pleasant and well stocked.
