1) Ensure the "STRICTLY NO Spirit Alcohol" policy you claim to have is actually adhered to. There were people opening and pouring out a bottle of Hennessy (cups lined up on the boat floor) while the captain was talking about the parks history BEFORE we even left the docks. HE DID NOTHING. Neither did he stop them from coming on with two cooler boxes of alcohol. 2) There should be a "NO Alcohol" policy given the covid measures. How did these people pass two security guards and one "Shoreline" representative at the door AND the skipper????? 3) Passengers who throw bottles/pollute into the lake and/or surroundings MUST BE FINED and NEVER allowed back on the cruise. One of the passengers decided to throw his Heineken bottle onto the lake bank near a few hippos - because he was drunk- because he was allowed to get drunk by the captain. On the way back, another decided to toss his bottle caps into the lake. 4) If there is a crowd of 10 people on one booking, please give then their own boat rather than have the crowd determine their own rules, manners, social distancing for the trip. There was no social distancing on our trip, neither were masks being worn as everyone (a group of about 8 people) was too busy drinking, screaming, etc. 4) I decided upon this cruise as I thought it would be a great experience for my kids. Turns out Shoreline have VERY POOR controls for alcohol, social distancing and mask wearing to the detriment of myself and my family. Its a booze cruise for people who have zero appreciation for nature, who pollute our country's heritage - and the company allows this. Their policies and procedures exist on paper with no enforcement on the ground.

This was my second boat cruise with Shoreline in the space of two months. On both occassions I found the skipper/guide very knowledgeable and interesting. We were taken up close to three pods of hippo and had ample time to hear many interesting facts about hippos and to take photos. As birders we also enjoyed the many sightings of birds that were pointed out to us. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
