Very knowledgeable guide who had the eyes of a hawk managing to spot birds and wildlife from a great distance and was able to answer all my annoying questions in great detail. Had just rained hard so the water levels were high but still saw plenty of hippos and birdlife however no crocs.

We had a very good time with Mdu during the trip. He had such a good way to guide as, answer our questions and His eyes spotted animals like an eagle. We saw hippos, a crocodile, birds and a lizard. We enjoyed it and definitely would go again!

We did the hippo and croc cruise with our kids and it was a very nice experience. We had a very enthusiastic guide/captain, telling us a lot about the hippos living in the wetlands near St Lucia. Serious information, but also some very exciting stories, which made the cruise also very funny for the kids. The only disappointing 'thing' was that we didn't see any crocodile, and we weren't told why the crocodiles were not there.

This is a wonderful tour, the guide, Heini (?- like the beer) was really informative but also very witty and his enthusiasm for the area very much came through. We saw lots of hippos and fabulous creatures they are too. Only one baby croc and a mature one that was barely visible through the reeds but that didn’t matter. Heini also pointed out to us a variety of birds from sea eagle to kingfishers and cormorants.
Fabulous scenery as well.
Only 15 people on boat so all got an excellent view.

Wow - just wow. The guide was informative, humorous and interesting - and the hippo and croc sightings were spectacular. Highly recommend the sunset trip as the hippos are more active than during the heat of the day.

I had the safari tour booked and it was really good so while I was there I booked the shoreline boat. I really recommend this aswell as it was good fun and informative.

Hallo liebe Nutzer,
Ich habe die tollen Bewertungen über die Shoreline Hippo Tour gelesen. Dazu wollte ich folgendes fragen: Habt ihr die Tour vor Ort gebucht? Denn die Internetadresse von Shoreline funktioniert nicht. Und da ich eine Südafrika Rundreise mache, werde ich nur 2 Tage in St. Lucia bleiben, kann es also im Vorraus wenn dann nur online buchen. Wie hast du das gemacht? Geht das unkompliziert und spontan vor Ort? Ich werde im August dort sein, also eher keine Hauptreisezeit.

We would like to book a hippo and trip cruise early july 2017 with your company.
Our grandson is, however at that time, only 6 months.
Would it be possible to bring him on the boat? Or do you think it is saver to do the trip without him .

Hallo,
mein Freund und ich möchten nächstes Jahr im März auch eine Hippo & Croco Tour bei St. Lucia machen.
Wann meint ihr, wäre die beste Tageszeit dafür? Wann sind die Tiere eher aktiver? Oder wann sieht man mehr Tiere?
Eher am Morgen, Mittag oder gegen Nachmittag/Abend?
Habt ihr noch andere Tips für die Gegend?

Bonjour
Le mieux est de faire la dernière croisière, le soleil se couche.. Les hippopotames craignent la chaleur et le soleil, ils sont donc prêt à sortir pour aller brouter l'herbe. Et à cette heure-ci les pilotes de bateaux savent ou se trouvent les troupeaux sur la rivière. alors que au matin ils doivent les chercher.
