This place is a disgrace. Ezemvelo Wildlife KZN should be ashamed of themselves. First warning sign when we entered was no electricity in reception. (Not during load shedding) Completely dark with staff using their cellphone lights to issue tickets. Without power you can’t use a credit card to pay.
Once you enter the park it just gets worse. It’s pointless trying to see any of the displays as you enter as it’s so dark you need your cell phone light to see where you are walking. The condition of the cages and enclosed areas where the crocodiles are kept are in very poor condition. It’s not difficult to see that not a cent has been spent on this facility in years!

The receptionist was completely disinterested in helping us or giving us advice about the visit or tours. The website incorrectly stated that there are tours daily. The crocodiles are incredible and it is the first time I have seen crocs so close-up. However, a bit of customer service and some maintenance will go a long way.

The place is not well taken care of but there is a lot you learn inside the center. It is worth a visit if you are in the area. Affordable entrance fee. You basically get what you pay for

We came to the crocodile centre on a rainy day and had a great time! The crocodiles were so much more interactive and mobile than in European zoos we have visited. We saw lots of different crocodiles of different ages and sizes and heard some great roaring. Our 10 year old had a great time.

Visiting the crocodile centre is a complete waste of money. The centre is not maintained and falling apart and the staff is not helpful or friendly. Rather drive to Hluhluwe and visit their reptile centre, much better value for money.

DO NOT waste your money on the crocodile park! It's run down and in a terrible state of disrepair. The animals quite frankly should be released into the park, they would have a way better life. A total embrassment to the local residents of KZN.

The crocodiles seemed happy enough and were well-kept. However, signage boards needed replacing because fading had made them almost illegible in many cases, there was no map of the premises to follow for visitors, and the coffee shop was not operational, even on a public holiday. The curio shop had very little to offer either. Someone needs to step up and give the place a total shake-up: it has such potential, but just seems to be slowly dying a death.

Having been on the estuary boat trip, which was a little disappointing, we needed to see crocs before leaving St Lucia.
The crocodile center was well worth a visit, a couple of hours well spent

My name is Alex. I´ve been there 2 times in 10 days.Second time it was as the first time I think I was so hipnoticed by these animals that I think I missed a bit of the speeches given and I wanted also to learn more,DONE!!.On weekends they do offer the possibility to attend a feeding, at least when I went there. You meet up with Johannes, a devoted person for crocs (and I would say at least other reptiles). His wisdom and charisma will help you to see and admire crocs like probably you never did at the same time you learn and you enjoy. Croc feeding is cool but aside with learning and laughing makes it just an unfforgattable experience. Activity for all ages and types of person in my opinion. And ask about the Gabon Viper....both species...out of this world and good people there working a great job. Thanks and keep up with it!.Alex
