What a great day on safari at the Hluhluwe Game Reserve it was amazing, my expectations were well and truly met saw 3 of the big 5 unfortunately the leopard and lions were being very illusive but that's nature. The day package included breakfast and lunch which was very enjoyable and plentiful. A special mention to the guide who was... More

In the summer of 2016 we booked that two hour tour. There were only 15 people on the boat - great, because there was no "party" like we saw on the bigger boats of other companies! Jacques shared all his knowledge about the animals in a friendly and funny way. Important: He did NOT go too close to the animals,... More

Went on the hippo and croc tour. Was a windy day so no crocs, but saw many hippos and learned so much about them and the whole area from our guide, Stacy. Thoroughly enjoyable and great pictures to take home!

The 2 hour boat trip passed by so quickly. Very enjoyable and informative. The reason I only gave 4 stars was I found the full day safari too long in almost 40c heat. After mid morning the animals were few as too hot for them too. Our guide Theo was most informative and friendly and gave us a lovely lunch.... More

We had a great two hour estuary cruise during our St. Lucia trip. Our guide Stacey was extremely knowledgeable and had a real way with words, we enjoyed her anecdotes about the resident hippos and other wildlife. It was a bit confusing however as this tour is marketed as a hippo and croc cruise, yet no mention (or sighting) of... More

We have just completed a 3 night/ 4 day package with Heritage Tours in St Lucia. Each day offered something new including an estuary tour, where we watched young hippo play, a full day in Hluhluwe Imfolozt National Park, where we saw 4 of the Big 5, a 1/2 day trip to Cape Vidal and a night tour through the... We booked the bush & boat tour and we had a great all-round experience. Ngcebo, our guide in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve was great, very enthusiastic and super friendly. He found almost all of the big 5 (the lioness just didn't want to get out of the thicket) and we learned a lot, even about trees and track reading. The... More

I was picked up from my accommodation in St Lucia at 5am. We made our way to Hluhluwe Game Reserve where our guide Jacques gave us a brief run down of the park. It was a dull day so most of the herds were not in sight but our guide made sure to track down Zebras, Lions, Giraffes, wildesbeest, buffalo,... More

Our tour guide David, who conducted the Big 5 safari was very friendly and knowledgeable, and cooked a good BBQ too. Recommend this tour, saw basically all the wildlife, except the elusive leopard and lion. The hippo tour was also the best, we got really close up and were able to watch the baby hippos playing with each other.

I booked a one night stay at short notice at Heritage House B&B with a boat cruise and night safaris and transfers from Durban Airport. The website wasn't as seamless as it might have been and I had to call the Lodge and Heritage Tours several times to book as they each said they booked accommodation and tours separately. Though...
