The Blyderivierspoort trail can be adapted from between two to five days, and the diverse terrain through lush vegetation reveals not only incredible rock formations and views, but also a variety of animals. ... But seasoned hikers frequently do the trail self-guided. Overnight accommodation is in huts
Well get on your hiking gear and head to the Blyde River Canyon and get on the Hippo Trail. ... There are a couple of trails available from the Blyde Canyon Forever Resort in Mpumalanga

We stayed at the Mount Sheba Hotel (1970's flashback, thatch duplex accommodation with coal fire made for you in the evenings; set menu in the dimly lit restaurant; workmanlike and tasty breakfast buffet) and travelled to various Blyde River viewpoints such as the Three Rondavels; God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes. Stunning views of the largest green canyon in the world, but go early before the tourists spoil your contemplation with their chatter. Also around there and worth seeing are the Echo Caves, Bridal Veil Waterfall and Sudwala Dinosaur Park - but bring your hiking shoes and be prepared for some still climbing and walking. No disabled facilities.

The walk is an easy hike and once you get to the cliff the view is breath-taking and one where you need to sit down and take it all in. Such a shame to snap a photo or two and to be on your way. Please be careful of the edge we saw youngsters right on the edge of the cliff sitting on a rock - way to dangerous.

We took a casual stroll that turned into such a beautiful hike, down the mountain and along the most scenic river with over hanging trees. It required some maneuvering but each little turn just got me excited for the next landscape. I would definitely recommend a any of the hikes on offer.

The Leopard trail combined with the Guinea Fowl trail will give you the most stunning views along the way. Path is very well marked. You park your car at the entrance of Leopard but it is not a loop, so you need to do quiet a walk on the road inside the reserve to get back to your car. Level of fitness is moderate. Slippery when wet as you mostly walk on rocks.

The walk was an easy hike through the forest and was enjoyable... similar to walking through the Northern Ontario Canadian bush (sans the mosquitos and black flies :)) Lovely little waterfall at the end of it. Comfortable, nice bit of exercise.
