Mesmerizing Views

Words cannot express the beauty of this site. I have always heard about the beauty of God's Window, but this was better as far as I am concerned! Another inexpensive visit, I think it was about R30 pp.

3rd largest canyon on Earth!!!
Jun 2021 • Family
You have to visit this South African gem, no words can describe the wonder. It is a very special, soulful and beautiful place. So important to support local when the international tourists numbers are down.

Astounding natural beauty
May 2021 • Family
Visited after many years and once again astounded by the natural beauty of the area. Good parking, some small curio stalls and ablution facilities. We paid R35 per local adult. Cards accepted. Worth the visit. The road getting there is in terrible conditiom though with extensive roadworks. Great time of year to visit.

Beautiful views, but lookout point small and busy
Jan 2021 • Family
The views are amazing. The lookout spot is quite small through and the place can get very busy. You feel cramped and just want to get out of there. Good for about 10mins of viewing and pictures. There is an entry fee at the gate.

Scenic
Jul 2019
This place is absolutely stunning. There's mountains and river flowing in between the mountains. An excellent stop for photography. There are also souvenir stalls by the road opposite this attraction, for those who are keen.

Three beehive huts
Mar 2020
Very scenic and great panoramic views. The three mountains get their name because they resemble beehive huts built by bees in the wild.

Three Rondavels
Jan 2020
Top view from here makes one to appreciate nature. From the view one can see the three mountains shaped like a rondavel (cylindrical thatch house) of which also have a story of their own by local folks. Also one can see the one "island" which is just a rock which sits in the middle of the river which is The Blyde River. Entrance fee is not bad at all. There are vendors that sell typical flee market goods. If coming here bring along a water bottle your camera and maybe a pair of binoculars for closer zooming in. Other wise it's one of nature's wonders.

Beautiful scenery
Dec 2019 • Friends
More like three rondavels because they look like the cone shaped roof of an African hut. Paid R35 at the gate and parked. The trail leads to the guard-railed edge of the canyon where one has sweeping views of the beautiful rondavels. Not to be missed.

Stunning!
Oct 2019
The Three Rondavels are a stunning rock formation in the Blyde River Canyon best seen from the viewpoint at the rim of the canyon. They look like the typical African round huts, but on a vastly bigger scale. Unfortunately it was very misty when we were there, but that was out of our control!
