The view

A definite must do when in the area. The view cannot be compared to anything.

Absolutely amazing, bit of a walk going up but totally worth it when you get to the top.

Plenty of parking and not that much foot traffic and entrance fee in very small.

Best look out point in Mpumalanga!
May 2021 • Family
Visited after many years and once again astounded by the natural beauty of the area. Good parking, some small curio stalls and ablution facilities. Lots of climbing on footpath so youbdo need to be fit to visit the rainforest section which offers even more viewing points. The first few vieeing points are easy to reach. We paid R20 per local adult. Only cash accepted. Worth the visit. It is very close to Graskop. The road getting there is in terrible condition though with extensive roadworks. Great time of year to visit.

Enjoyable but disappointed in human beings.

As a South African I still love to visit the beautiful places we should be so proud to have in our country. God's Window and all the attractions along the Panorama route are really beautiful and a real asset to our tourism industry. BUT .. why can the people that visit these places not use the dustbins provided and why does the municipaility or tourism not appoint people to keep the place as pristine as it should be . Everywhere I went there was litter and over flowing dustbins. From Lone Creek Falls to The Three Rondavels view point and all along the road sides in between . This is just so terribly sad and shows a lack of appreciation for nature and a consumeristic attitude to everything available.

gods window view nice but infrastructure messed up

I have been to gods window many times and this experience today left me bitter and disappointed and despondent. Is Mpumalanga tourism agency capable of managing our precious resources and attractions. Broken signs and roads...dirty toilets ...overflowing water tanks..dirty buildings...broken fences and look out points.. these are beautiful tourist attractions which are slowly falling into disrepair because of mismanagement and incompetence..by all means you need to look at the beautiful scenery that one has from God's window but the peripheral and services ..BAD ..COME ON MPUMALANGA TOURISM ..GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.

Absolutely breathtaking

One can never really get tired of visiting this place. The weather was perfect..... misty but you could still see the beautiful views. For the hike take water, binoculars and a camera/phone. Also apply sunscreen and wear a sunhat. Entrance fee at the gate is about R20 and pensioners qualify for a discount. On that day it really looked like God was looking through from a hole in the clouds in one of the pictures.

Wonderful experience, pathways were clean. Beautiful scenery.
Ladies toilets need attention as there was a huge water leak.
Not all people wear there masks, there should be staff make sure people adhere to the law.

If there is mist you missed the view.
Dec 2020
If there is mist you have little to no chance of seeeing anything. The are other viewing spots available to avoid queues at the main gate.

It was a great experience though there were many people and the path was not suitable and it's usually slippery but other than that the view is amazing and it's clean.

More of God's balcony....still stunning
Nov 2020
We detoured to God's Window after we got lost on our way to the Blyde River Canyon viewpoint by using a misleading google map route from White River which took us off the tarmac in Acornhoek town and lead us smack in the middle of a forest and left us there.

So even though we had not planned to visit God's Window, we were happy for the adventure and we ended up seeing magnificent views of the escarpment which were truly stunning. We went on a Sunday and the place was packed but we still got room enough to take photos. Would definitely advise visiting when less crowded especially during the pandemic.
