What an incredible experience! This exceeded my expectations. We had booked our Safari through Siyabona. Naomi Did a fantastic job by putting us with Outlook Safari’s. We were brought to Pretoriuskop, A rest camp in the south of Kruger. Jacques Lourens was in charge and did a fantastic job of making sure our experience was the best ever. Our plane was late in arrival so he arranged for us to go on an alternative sunset safari ride. On our return, we were given a celebratory toast with OBS, Old Brown Sherry, a traditional Sherry drink in enameled camp cups. Really fun! This was followed by a three course meal served in a dining tent. There was a crystal chandelier! There were linen tablecloth‘s, the table was set and wine was poured generously. I cannot believe the quality of the meals. Totally gourmet! The chef is to be congratulated. We ended up staying four nights and every evening was amazing. It was a nice small group of people ranging anywhere from 10 to 20. Perfect for visiting in the evening. The greatest thing about the Safari are the guides. Sam was the best! We were driven twice daily around the park with often only 3 to 5 people. It made for a very intimate experience. You go early in the morning At 5:30 for a 4 Hour Dr. Then you go mid afternoon from 3 PM to 6 PM. A total of seven hours daily! We were able to see all of the big five. Cape buffalo, elephant, Leopard, rhino, and lion. Outlook Safari’s also has a nice morning offering. They give you a hooded poncho lined with fleece to wear on the drive. There are no windows and it can become quite chilly. I didn’t see any other offerings like that with the other safaris that were in the area. It really made it very comfortable. Sam was mostly our guide and really educated us about animals and birds. He is the funniest guy and I would go back 100 times just to experience this Safari. Pierrie was also a great guide. He should be a teacher! Hats off to the other guides who helped serve meals and made us feel so welcome: Rickson, Dane, Tebogo. Everyone couldn’t have been nicer. Jacques was a terrific manager and runs a great program.

We had a great trip. There were a few issues due to Covid and the increase to level 4 status right before we left but the company handled everything wonderfully. They got us last minute flights with less than 24 hrs notice, helped arrange testing and to go food and our guide Sello even cooked us an authentic bbq meal right at our tent. The tents were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were clean. It was a trip of a lifetime and the company did everything to make it memorable. It was worth everything we paid and more!

Incredible time- Rooms had two twin beds- clean- no wifi except restaurant but very slow poor signal and speed. Great staff, excellent tour guides, very informative and great animal spotting ability. Breakfast was decent, dinner was delicious both nights. Seen all big 5+ plenty more. 3 of the 4 game drives were ok but didn't see much up close. The 4th and final drive was amazing, we seen 4 of the big 5 with plenty animals near our vehicle and short distance. Drives at night and early morning were quit chilly so we suggest wearing a coat or sweat shirt. Blankets were supplied on the touring trucks so that was very helpful. My wife and I highly recommend outlooks Kruger safari.

Our time with Outlook Safaris was incredible! My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights/2 days at pretoriuskop camp and enjoyed every minute. The guides and cooks are amazing, and really care about their guests! The camp is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you could need. The meals made by the Outlook chefs are 5 star and absolutely delicious!! Our guide Dale was very knowledgeable and experienced. He made our 4 game drives exciting! A special shoutout to Jacques, who was always there to answer any questions, and really ensured that we had the best experience!
Thank you to the whole team for your kind and professional hospitality! We highly recommend Outlook Safari for your Kruger adventure! You won't be disappointed!

We had an excellent time in their new Mananga camp. Sam the guide was amazing and really good at finding the special animals - lots of leopards close up. Paul the chef was top notch - the food was fantastic quality and we all looked forward to the next delicious and beautifully presented food. We had 4 days in Kruger and saw all of the big 5.

Horrible company and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from Steven. I booked a safari for two with the wonderful Elsabe (who is no longer with the company) for March 2020. This was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. It was confirmed in writing by the company I would receive a refund after a year’s time to let the economy recover a bit. I waited patiently - in that time Elsabe left the company and no one replied to me for months on end. I finally got written confirmation from Steven that I’d get a refund in September 2022 and that this would take place latest 1st March 2023. That day came and passed. After dozens of emails trying to get a single reply, I have been forced to give up. I have since been advised that I should log a complaint with the South African Consumer Protection Agency as this is a clear violation of the laws in place since I have the refund promise in writing with a tangible date attached. I noticed Steven of this as I did not want to pursue this matter further and would have just settled for a reduced payment, but they have refused and again gone silent. I’m only writing this because I can see another review where this has happened listed here on trip advisor. I agree with them - please be careful when booking this company!!

Before actually getting to the camp, I had no idea what to expect regarding my safari trip. Upon arrival, any concerns I had were quickly resolved. Pretoriuskop is clean, beautiful, and well taken care of. Jacq, who managed the operation, was friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions you may have. We were able to drive with guides Dale, Sam, Rickson, and Pierre and saw animals on every drive! The food was great and snacks are provided in the afternoon (so if you’re worried about lunch not being provided, don’t be). Their attention to detail is awesome - they provided windbreaker ponchos for the chilly morning drives which REALLY came in handy and asked us which animals we were hoping to find each time. I had a great time on safari with outlook and would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking about going. It was a great example of the classic safari experience. I’ve included pictures of my photos below!

Thank you for an extraordinary experience with Outlook Safaris! Everything from smooth booking & logistics to great safaris with experienced & friendly driver and hospitable staff at the camp was just great.
Special thanks to Tania for being so flexible in rearranging my arrival due to cancelled flight (and 20h delay..).
I aim to come back soon! Thanks.

Read all the fantastic reviews on here and was super excited about our safari this week. Sadly at the last moment they told us they had overbooked the camp and could not accommodate us in Kruger! They moved us to a private game camp closeby and gave us no option. We had arranged a transfer from joburg and as very were not going all the way to the camp transferred into a tiny polo for half of our journey. In 38degree heat this was not very comfortable. Similar disorganized experience getting home. That being said the Kapama lodge we were placed in was great. Brill staff, food and great safaris. Just a shame the communication from the safari company was poor and transfers a total mess. Guess we were just the unlucky ones...

Thank you very much for bringing your dissatisfaction to our attention. We have been trying to contact you unsuccessfully for more than 2 weeks to establish what you were unhappy with and why you consider the service as disorganized. We appreciate it when problems are brought to our attention because we pride ourselves on the fact that 99.9% of our safaris run perfectly. When something goes off track, we take getting to the bottom of how and why it happened, very seriously because if we know what is wrong, we can fix it. After having had the benefit of some time to have a look at all the correspondence, speak to other guests that traveled at the same time and speak to the staff involved, I am however still at a loss as to why you feel you were unlucky.
We try very hard to make sure that each of our guests have a perfect safari experience .The overbooking was our mistake and please allow me to again apologize for our mistake. We believe our clients should never suffer when we make a mistake and we therefor upgraded you to a significantly more expensive product to make up for the change caused by the overbooking. We upgraded you from a 3* to a 5* experience. To put that in perspective, the safari that you booked and paid for, cost you ZAR 9630 per person. The safari that you received is valued at R 16 270 and we booked you on this safari to make good on our intention to give you, as our client, at least what we promised you or something even better. We feel we compensated you well by giving you a product that cost 40% more than the safari you paid for.
I don't fully understand why you feel your 90 km transfer from Hazyview to Kapama and back was disorganized. The use of a sedan vehicle for 2 persons is normal practice and according to the feedback from the staff and other travelers, things ran as smoothly as they always do. The shuttle and transfer combination is used by hundreds of our guests every year and everybody is very satisfied with the service. If there is something that I am not aware of, please do let me know on steven@outlook.co.za.
Please do accept, on behalf of the whole team, my apology for not making your safari as special as it could have been. We don't want you to feel that you were "the unlucky ones" as you say in your review. We love what we do and respect the privilege of sharing our home with others too much to ever let that happen.

This is our second safari with Outlook in Kruger National Park. Once again, the safari experience and all the logistics were absolutely incredible!
Our travel planning began months before safari and once again we had the great good fortune to work with Elsabe. She is marvellous to work with! Very professional and a the same time the personal touch is always there. Very prompt at getting back and so patient to answer dozens of questions along the line. We have complete trust in Elsabe and once again she delivered at the highest level.
Our first stop on safari was a new camp just opening at Sabi River which is run by the team of Debbie and Brian. Like Elsabe, Debbie and Brian are first rate to deal with! Our game drives were with Brian who managed to guide us to so many amazing sightings. His knowledge and professional and friendly manner made our game drives both amazing and easy going. Back at the camp, Debbie had everything arranged to the very highest levels of hospitality and efficiency. Add that to the fact that Debbie is a tremendous chef! Dining in the Boma under the stars is something that we will long recall with great fondness. As mentioned, the camp is still being brought to its full readiness but what a super place. We really enjoyed the experience of staying in the tents (which are new, spacious and very comfortable with en suite washroom and shower). If you have the opportunity, stay with Debbie and Brian at Sabi River. You will not be disappointed and will make lifetime memories.
Hopefully, there will soon be a dedicated tripadvisor site for this new camp. It certainly deserves it's place and it will soon be a first choice for many safari goers.
Elsabe also organized our travels to a second safari at Elephant Plains and then on to Victoria Falls (and the Devil's Pool) and our review of those properties appear elsewhere on their sites. But it is important to mention that with these travels as well, Elsabe organized everything to perfection!
Thanks to Outlook. Elsabe, Debbie and Brian, you made our family trip of a lifetime a great success and wonderful memory. Can't thank you enough!

Big 5 (Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo), jiraph, impala, kudu, hippo...
Mind that you’re never not visiting a zoo. They are running free, and some drives you won’t be able to spot many of them..

We are currently in Johannesburg and want to do a 3 day, 2night safari in Kruger Park. There are 2 of us. I was wondering if you could give us an estimate per person, including transportation, of cost.
Written 30 June 2017
With Outlook you pay about $850 USD per person, which includes accommodation, meals, and transportation to/from Jo'burg as well as the daily wildlife drives. Check their website for details -- they are very good at responding promptly to inquiries.

I will be coming from Victoria Falls to do the Safari in KNP, what is your recommendation on the best travel getting from VF to Johannesburg?
Written 25 June 2017
Demmeri G,
Thank you for your question.
If you are traveling from Victoria Falls to do a safari in the Kruger, I would advise that you fly directly from Livingstone to Kruger Mpumalanga International airport and not via Johannesburg.
Airlink operates a daily service that departs Livingstone at 13:45 and lands at KMIA 15:25.
The cost is approximately R 5300 per person and we can assist you with the flight and transfer bookings.
If you fly to Johannesburg and then fly to Kruger, you will lose +- 3 hours with check in and check out for the 45 minute Johannesburg to Kruger flight. A road transfer from Johannesburg takes +- 5 hours.
Regards
Steven

Can we fly from Durban to Kruger and from Kruger to Cape Town? Can the safari commence on any day or is arrival/departure limited to certain days?
Written 10 March 2017
We flew from Durban to Cape Town, and not sure about a Durban to Johannesburg flight. We flew on Mango Air. Also know that South African Air flies in and out to many places. Can easily look up their schedules on-line. Johannesburg is closest to Kruger. Outlook Safaris picked us up at the airport in Johannesburg (or they will pick up from your hotel) and drove us to Kruger. It was about a four hour drive. If you go to Outlook Safaris web site, there is a schedule of each safari but there were people that joined our safari at different days so they must make accommodations. Elsabe at Outlook Safaris answers questions very quickly (usually within 12-24 hours). Just click contact information on their web site. Hope this helps.
Written 17 March 2017
Do you arrange accommodation in Kruger or just run the safaris/game drives? Do we need to arrange own accommodation, and what about getting there and onwards travel? We have about a week after Victoria falls/Chobe to visit Kruger etc and get back to Jo'burg. Can you suggest anything? Anything else on the way we should take in?
Written 27 February 2017
We arrange all aspects of your safari including flights or road transfers, meals, accommodation and your game activities. We also make travel arrangements for onward travel to Victoria Falls, Botswana and Cape Town. Please send us an enquiry through our Kruger Wildlife Safaris website, and one of our consultants will contact you shortly.
Regards
Steven
