What a fantastic morning we had with Wanyama Safaris! With Marinda's knowledge of the park we were fortunate to spot all of the Big 5 on our drive with the leopard sightings being the most memorable moments of the trip!

Dean and his team provided an excellent service to my group. I booked private safari drives from Protea Kruger Gate Hotel on 4 consecutive days at Kruger National Park.
The rangers were knowledgeable , punctual , their vehicles were clean and they also supplied optional warm blankets to my guests.
My group saw a lot of animals including the big 5

We were lucky enough to have Dean as our guide for a 5 day Kruger tour. He was the best guide we could have asked for! He felt like an old friend by the end of our trip. He knows his stuff and LOVES what he does. He helped us see not only the big wildlife that everyone wants to see, but also the smaller animals, plant life, scenic views and amazing food to make sure we got a full, well rounded experience. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

What an amazing experience we had with Dean Redellinghuys of Wanyama Safaris at the end of November 2019. Dean took us out for a game drive, picking us up bright and early from our guest house. Dean clearly loves what he does and is very passionate about conservation and the Kruger Park. He was so informative about the animals we saw - he has eyes like a hawk!! He spotted birds and animals that we had not even noticed. Dean was very informative, he has a deep knowledge about the animals and birds and kept us informed about what we were seeing and telling us stories about the park and the diversity of the area. I would highly recommend Dean and Wanyama Safaris to anybody going to the Kruger Park, it is so important to have somebody who clearly loves what he does and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others.

At first we think the big 5 would be great.. but what you will get is a unique personnalised friendly experience ! Wow !

Thanks a lot for everything. From the first seconds, when you arrived and explained us how would be the fews days, till the last moment : each minute was well used, and more then what we could imagine :)
Excursions.. sunrise, full day, sunset.. all your knowledge you shared with us.. all the stories you accepted to tell us.. barbecues and laughings.. always on time.. always ready to make our trips the best.. you were not just a simple guide.. you were part of the group.. YOU ARE PART OF THE GROUP !
As you told us, you are able to adapt your offer to our needs, that's very important and we will definately contact you again for the next one :) i definately recommand you.

Not enough world's to describe this man and the level of service. Such a kind nice man, super knowledgeable and professional. It was my third time in the safari and the first time with Dean and he will stay out guide forever. Super flexible and caring. Also we were a big family group and he accommodate himself according to your different needs. If you want to have the BEST experience- go with Dean.

We took a morning safari with Wanyama, and it was absolutely outstanding. We were met promptly at 5 AM at our lodge by our guide, Tayrin, who took us to the gate at Kruger. While we waited for the gate to open and our paperwork to be completed, we were served coffee/tea and rusk (a South African staple, it seems) from the tailgate, courtesy of Wanyama. Very civilized! Once we set off, Tayrin was a wealth of information about the things we were seeing His having pursued degrees in this area was quite evident in the depth and breadth of his knowledge about the park and the wildlife. He was continually in touch with other safari operators, so we would get a heads up about where the animals were. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, Cape buffalo, a white rhino, hippos, and dozens of others – most of them quite near the road. Tayrin was great about maneuvering the vehicle so as to get the best photographic advantage, and I don’t think he was stumped by a single question we asked.. I would recommend Wanyama most heartily.

Tayrin (Pronounced Ty-rin) was our tour guide and he was fabulous. I had no idea what to expect, but Tayrin's personality put me at ease: He was professional, good-humored, and thoroughly answered all our questions. He knew the park would be crowded earlier than usual because South Africans would be getting in for free that week so he suggested we meet him 30 minutes earlier than initially suggested - I am so grateful he was being so thoughtful!
He also happily rearranged the vehicle every time the photographers in our party wanted a better angle. He tag-teamed with another vehicle from Wanyama for the morning part of the ride so it felt like we were getting the knowledge of not just one guide but two. Actually, it felt like we were benefiting from the knowledge of a handful of guides because Tayrin seemed to know a whole bunch of them - it seems like more than coincidence that we ended up seeing a lot of animals up close. Even when we were en route to a different part of the park and not seeing much on the way, he would feed us a tidbit of information to keep us engaged.
Would do a Wanyama tour again in a heartbeat!

For my wife and me it was our first time on a Safari - a 3 day, 2 night excursion. We met our guide Quintin at the gate of Kruger Park, he explained shortly the rules we had to follow, and then we went off to a most exciting and entertaining adventure. Our highly experienced guide found all the Big 5 and a lot more extremely rare predators already on the first morning! He not only showed us the animals, but also explained a lot and made us understand their behaviours. The whole tour was perfectly organized, we always met on time. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kruger and hope to come back. In this case, we would certainly do the tour with Wanyama again.

We did a private Safari today with 3 kids (5, 11 and 13), our guide was Dean. He picked us up at 5.15 and then we started from Malelane Gate. He is the most caring guide You can imagine, he knows the best spots to watch Animals. We were so lucky and saw almost every Spezies the Park is known for until 10.30. Unforgettable!!!
