Amazing treehouse with wonderful views onto the endangered species centre, and game reserve behind - a perfect place to relax and watch for wildlife! A tour at the centre is a must, with knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.

I use to work at the centre in 1996. Part of our tours were done on foot. There were occasions when you could really get close to some of the animal. I would really love for them to bring that back. It is still well...More

The notion and team behind HESC is commendable and inspiring. Granted that the variety of animals may not be as comprehensive as one would expect to be, I have to say the team’s efforts in caring for injured / abandoned animals had me thinking about...More

This was a very interesting and informative centre that was open to the general public and Kapama guests. It highlighted the very important anti poaching work the Centre does. Excellent work!

We did the Endangered Species Centre visit as one in a series of game reserves, and were not disappointed. Seeing cheetah and leopards up close and so many vultures was an experience. Also the survivors of poachers are to be admired.

I don't think you can stay at HESC...I visited with my kiddos and did not see any accommodations. You simply do a drive through their property and see the animals in their care.

I agree. The Cheetah Focus Tour is worthwhile, plus you'll also be able to see endangered vultures feeding.

Both are excellent. I would choose a game drive as it is a more authentic experience but if you want to see endangered king cheetahs, wild dogs and rare sable antelope up close then do the HESC tour - better still, do both!!
