The far eastern part of South Africa is known to locals as the Lowveld, this is a haven for wildlife lovers and enthusiasts from around the world. Wild Planet Safari are proud to offer exciting day trips and excursions in the area surrounding the small town called Hoedspruit. Wild Planet Safari is an established company and have been operating inside Kruger and the surrounding areas for over 8 years, we are family run and operated safari company and provide a great service at the right price.

We just did a 5 day private safari and Eric was the best guide. We saw the Big 5 on our first day! We also saw 3/5 rare five which we didn't even know about!
Eric was so knowledgeable (he's been a guide for 20 years and it shows).
We saw more than we ever would have thought and everything was so close to us. We had a lot of luck but a lot of luck was created because our guide knew when to go, where to go, and how to create luck. He went above and beyond to find us the best sightings of everything.
We did the private tour and it was the best decision!
Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Eric!

We had an amazing time in south africa with our guides chris and hope, Chris made sure we saw the big 5 and many more. WE SAW 20 LIONS ON THIS TRIP, Me and my family had an amazing time, the food made by hope was delicious. his meals were amazing including steak, curry. i am a picky eater and they made sure i had something on my plate every meal. we saw so many animals like leopards, lions, elephants, giraffes, rhino, hippo, crocodiles, zebras and a lot more, we loved our trip and could not wish for any other guides to ask for

Our family of 6 had an amazing 7-day safari in Kruger Park. My parents, two children (ages 10 & 13) and my husband and I had an unforgettable experience. Our guide Chris stayed with us for the duration of the 7 day safari. Not only did Chris locate the Big 5 he educated us on the wildlife throughout Kruger. We got up close encounters with lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, birds and so much more. Just truly incredible! We booked to have our meals prepared throughout the 7 days and we were lucky enough to have Master Chef, Hope join us. We were treated to picnic breakfasts, lunch and authentic dinners. Chris and Hope made our family vacation a trip of a lifetime.

An unforgettable and unbeatable safari. Couldn't have asked for a better group of guides (Chris and Hopesun). Every safari was unbelievable, Chris went out of his went to ensure that we saw the big 5, taking us on extra morning and evening game drives at our request. He was also so knowledgable and offered a similar excitement and finding the animals. Meals prepared by Hopesun were delicious - local meat dishes, curry etc. Came within feet of lions, cheetahs, elephants etc. Cannot recommend this company enough!!! Tours were private and stays in the camp were clean, cool and comfortable. Wouldn't change a thing.

My teenagers and I spent 5 days/4 nights at Kruger.
From our first inquiry Thale was quick and helpful and catered to our needs
On the tour we were guided by Eric who drove us in an open safari truck, organised everything, cooked us delicious meals and showed us the park.
We saw amazing animals- lions, hyenas, rhino, wild dogs, elephants, leopard, buffalo, hippos, fish eagles and more. And for each animal Eric told us about the ecology, behaviours or life cycles.
We feel very privledged to have had such an amazing experience

We were looking for a short, private and affordable Kruger safari experience before our cruise, and Wild Planet Safari delivered an amazing experience! Thale was extremely helpful in putting a 3-day private safari. We decided to stay inside Kruger at Satara, even though it was a bit further from Johannesburg.
Everything was extremely well-organized, and we were amazed by all the wildlife we encountered at close quarters. Our guides Chris and Skhumbozo were very knowledgeable, personable and fun, and very good cooks. We joked that while most guides can tell at a glance the approximate age of an elephant, Chris knew their birthdays!
Each game drive provided new sightings and experiences. We learned a lot, took many photos and felt a strong a connection to the complex natural environment that Kruger encompasses.
Our major takeaways from our first safari: private is the way to go, the choice of tour operator is key, and staying inside Kruger is preferable. We were very impressed with Wild Planet Safari, and their pricing made a private safari accessible to us. Our safari was well planned, and we were looked after very well. Highly recommended!

We did a seven day private camping safari with Chris and Goodwill. They were extremely well organized and always punctual. During setup, knockdown and cooking we were generally on game drives or at a restaurant having lunch - very efficient. Chris was excellent at spotting animals and explaining their behavior. They both went out of their way to make this an amazing experience for us. We saw virtually all available animals including wild dogs and cheetahs. The food was good and plentiful.
We went to four different camps that allowed us to experience different habitats and a wide variety of animals. The booking process with Thale, including hints on where to stay before the safari and how to get to Kruger, was very helpful. Everything was as promised with no additional unexpected costs.

We wanted to visit Kruger National Park before leaving South Africa, but we had limited time available. Scrolling through Safari Bookings, we selected Wild Planet Safari, who offered a three day (two night) private safari with transportation from Johannesburg. What a lucky choice! Ryan Ker and his associate met us just outside the park entrance and started pointed out animals right after we passed the gate. We had been on safari before, in Kenya and Tanzania, but with a single guide for multiple guests. A private guide, especially one as knowledgeable as Ryan, enabled us to see far more. The experience was intense, for we awakened before dawn to see animals active at that hour and take maximum advantage of our limited time. The highlight of our trip came on the second morning when Ryan found for us two male lions, certainly brothers, patrolling the edge of their territory, but there were too many encounters with too many other animals to recount. Our down time was spent in our bungalow at the park's Letaba Camp, where Ryan and his associate cooked tasty meals for the four of us. The bungalow itself was comfortable with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning (although we didn't need it). In short, we packed as much as possible into our three days, thanks to Ryan's expertise and the excellent management of his firm.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone at Wild Planet Safari for an amazing trip this past October. We originally were supposed to visit in 2020 and Thale was amazing in helping us reschedule and work through any difficulties. Her kindness was truly appreciated.
We were blessed to have Chris as our guide for the 5 days and we consider ourselves so lucky. He took good care of us and answered all our questions. We saw so much, thanks to him and we felt very much like we made a good friend.
We loved having our private tour with also the opportunity to meet with our fellow travelers at breakfast or dinner on a few occasions.
Thank you to Ryan, Thale and Chris for everything. I will be back!!

We’re just back from a 10 day, 9 night camping safari and had a brilliant time. We stayed at 5 camps (Letaba, Shipandani hide, Satara, Skukuza and Lower Sabie).
Our guides Chris and Dylan were great company and organised everything brilliantly for us.
We did game drives every day including a night drive and also a walking safari. We had some amazing viewings, saw all the big 5 (including 29 lions on one day) plus cheetah, wild dogs and more.
It was excellent value for money and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get back to basics and escape the chaos of modern life.
Our guides Chris and Dylan were great company and organised everything brilliantly for us.
