We enjoyed our outing yesterday to Acrobranch in Centuruin. Our daughter did the Green course and loved it. The lady that helping her, Admission, was so friendly and patient with her. She made sure my daughted understood what to do and stayed safe. The high trampoline operator, Charles, was so enthusiastic and gentle with her. She had an awesome time. The food and service at the restaurant was enjoyable as well. We will be back.

Hi Hope all is well , my Child attended a birthday party at the Big Red Barn to do the Acro branch. They Did the Red course and there where a lady and their daughter that where terrified but managed to get through the first clime and then that was that . There was one of your staff Anthony (Tony) , which came to there rescue. He went with both of them step by step through all the obstacles right to the end , Jumped off and went to the rescue to another girl that needed help . You have got one amazing staff member there that has the patience of a Saint and never gave up on them. Please would you congratulate him and that he is a very special person

Our family of 4 had an enjoyable time testing our limits at Acrobranch Centurion. There was a course for kids ages 3-6 (yellow), a course for kids and adults 7+ (green), a course for adults and kids over 1.3 meters tall (blue), and a very challenging course for adults and kids 12+ (red).
Acrobranch is a fun activity but the service and supervision were definitely lacking. We booked online and had no trouble checking in at the desk. However, when our appointment time came up one of the guides helped everyone else into their harnesses except for us. My husband had to go to the guide and let them know that we needed our harnesses too. When we booked the appointment we booked our son for the yellow course, my daughter and I for the green course, and my husband for the blue and red courses. The staff said they would stay with our son the whole time so the rest of us could do the other courses. There was a 2 hour time limit to complete the courses and 2.5 hours for my husband's.
A guide provides decent training before you do your course, but after you begin the guide wanders around from course to course and is not with you the whole time.
After my daughter and I completed our course we went to check on my son. We found him standing at the stairs at the end of his course (near the parking lot), alone, and crying. Two different employees had left him and he didn't know what to do. Originally he was with a girl, she left him in the care of a guy, and then the guy left him all alone. My son could have wandered into the parking lot, gotten lost, etc. It was very troubling! If I could do everything over again I would book a separate appointment for him, stay with him to supervise, and then do my own course afterward at another time.
Everyone loved their courses and would like to go back again. I would recommend wearing tighter clothing and long pants to protect your skin from the wires. Wear closed-toe shoes. Gloves are provided. The "big zip" is not to be missed and only costs R30 to add on to your other package (ages 7+).
The bathrooms were ok - one toilet for girls and one for boys. I was glad I had my own hand sanitizer in the car.
The Red Barn restaurant looks nice but service is extremely slow. We had to seat ourselves and then walk around to find a waiter to take our order. We only ordered milkshakes and had to wait 20+ minutes to be served. There is a great pirate ship, tractor, and other play set for the kids to play on at the restaurant so at least they were entertained while we waited.
Going to Acrobranch would haven been even more fun if we had been there with another family to do the courses with us. This is a great activity but please put the supervision of your children into your own hands and don't leave them alone - especially at the yellow course.

I took my kids for Acrobranch at Big Red Barn yesterday, and it was a terrible experience.
A year ago, we went there on a weekend and it was quite busy. We arrived, paid, and started the course. The staff was very friendly (we did the yellow course for smaller children), they made it fun for the kids, repeating the zip line a few times if no one was queuing behind, and cheering them on with big smiles.
Today, we went on a weekday in the school holiday, and it was not very busy when we arrived. We were told to wait 2.5 hours for the first available opening because we did not pre-book, and there is a limited amount of persons allowed on the course at a given time.
At that moment, there were 3 children on the yellow course, and during the next 2.5 hours there were always between 1-3 children. The more difficult courses were not busy either, with no more than 5 persons in total. Yet, when we started 2.5 hours later, there were 9 children on the yellow course, and more than 20 people lining up for the more difficult courses! The queue for the more difficult courses was so long that the older child had to wait 45 minutes from being harnessed before he could even start the training part of the course!
About half an hour before our allocated time, when there was again just one child on the yellow course, I asked if we could start earlier as it is not busy. I was told that it is not possible, because they have limited staff for the day. In addition, the kids first had to undergo the mandatory training with the group at the start of the time slot. There were other staff standing around doing nothing, but were unwilling to help because they were waiting to see where they would be allocated for the next time slot. Therefore, we cannot start the yellow course, with one child and one staff member on the yellow course. However, later there were 9 children on the yellow course with one staff member (and at times zero or two staff members). During this busy time, people arrived at random times and started immediately.
The staff were somewhat polite towards the children, but not friendly. When my children waited to be helped at the zip line and I clipped them in, I was reprimanded because I am not allowed. When I let them go for a second slide (with no one waiting behind us), we were told it is not allowed. No smiles.
This place will never see us again. The attitude of “we will go out of our way to NOT help you” was worse than when I had to renew my driver’s license. What bothered me most was the blatant lies to achieve this.

I asked for 3 gloves when I should have asked for two. I was not aware that gloves were not required for the yellow course. When I asked for a refund they told me no refunds are given for anything less than R200, when I checked the refunds policy on the website it says R140. Still, this is unacceptable, I should have the right to receive my money back, it doesn’t matter what the amount was. That was the beginning of what was going to be a terrible experience, the guides seemed quite exhausted and often no where to be found, we mostly had to find our way around the courses by ourselves. This is terrible, I will think twice about coming to this place again.

This venue offers a much needed connection with nature and the staff at the Acrobranch are professional and helpful. This is however tainted by the poor service from the restaurant. I admit that the venue was very busy, but the service was extremely slow.

This is one of the best family activities ever. Not only is it something that you can do together but also an activity that builds confidence.
Will definitely go back

City bound families can escape with their children to unwind in the countryside with healthy physical activity enjoying the ziplines in four categories of age/difficulty and clamberring over the net and drums obstacle courses in totally safe harnesses under the reassuring guidance of a safety officer.
A bit expensive but fee for period long enough to exhaust you and the kids.
There is no concession for children but you can buy 10 rides for R300 which is a discount for families going over several weekends.
Close to Pretoria and you travel there on the M 18 through Irene toward Olifantsfontein where it is located on the Cullinan families Sunlawns Estate which also has a Countryside Cycling and a BMX kiddies track and Redbarn Restaurant which overlooks the Zipline area.
You could miss the turnoff because presently not yet a Sign but you cannot miss the Stone entrance pillars and the huge Red Barn roof within the grounds.
The steel mesh rock filled elephant in front of the Red Barn is symbolic of the districts Olifantsfontein name.
When you arrive check out the Track Map on the wall inside the Red Barn and walk under the differrent grade Ziplines to asess their grade of difficulty.
Ziplines for 3 to 7 year olds and others for 7 to 73 Year olds and enjoyed by all.
And eating facilities available at next door seperate Red Barn restaurant facility are family priced and excellent and overlooks the Ziplines so while eating you can keep watch over your kids.
The estate also at a fee allows cycling over 25 Kiometers of coutryside track and Track Running on the rest of the estate and there is also a kiddies BMX Track and a Pirates Ship for kiddies to play on.
Toilet facilities handy.
Wonderful escape out of the City to activity in the countryside.

The whole family did the blue course. Son of 7 and daughter of 11 enjoyed themselves. My wife and I also climbed, swinged and played!

Took my kids to do Acrobranch. My son of 4 years loves it! Playing, hanging from cables, swinging from side to side. My daughter of 9 years likes doing the bigger courses. Longer zip lines, higher obstacles and spending more time to finish.

I have three questions:
1. Is this a nice couples activity, or is it better for kids?
2. What are the prices?
3. How is the safety of the parking area?
thank you
Written 6 January 2018
Hi. parking is very s
afe. Pricing is on the higher side. If i recall correctly it was in the region of R180 per child for the Red route. If you are in your 20' s i would say a couple could enjoy it. It is in my opinion more a childrens, teenager or very young couple activity. Hope this helps

I took an uber so I can’t speak about safety in the parking lot, but I am 52 and had a blast with my teenage sons. There were other adults as well, so it’s not just for kids. I don’t recall the prices, since I was on vacation and the exchange rate with the US dollar is favorable. I will say lunch was unusually good for this kind of activity spot. It was restaurant caliber I highly recommend it.
