Sani Pass is a beautiful setting. The beauty and mountains are exceptional. Enjoyed seeing the village life and the stuff they make. Loved observing the nomadic life in the villages. Enjoyed the highest pub in Africa.

We loved the drive, but the first part where they are starting to prepare the road for tarring, held us back and it also disappointed me, having been up before in an unspoilt way. After the South African boarder stop, we fortunately left the construction...More

Don't forget your passport. Quite a difficult walk but manageable with rest stops. Most beautiful in winter. See frozen streams and misty conditions when u get to the top. Lovely feel when snow hits your face. Driving up with 4x4 is fun but walking is...More

The drive up to Sani Pass takes 2.5 hours and can only be done in a 4x4. The views are spectacular and it is certainly worth doing. We passed shepherds herding their sheep down from Lesotho to the SA border. Wind chill at the top...More

Sani Pass is breathtaking but i's a dangerous drive. We didn't have a 4x4 and we really needed one! Had to turn back in the end but what we saw was magnificent. The driving here is insane. People overtaking 5 vehicles in a row up...More

The drive up to the border post is shocking. Lots of construction work and great fun for 4x4’s. The pass was snowed in so we ended up walking a good part of the pass. Beautiful scenery , the snow was amazing but unfortunately prevented us...More

The border post was closed due to inclement weather but the views were breath taking and the staff on duty were very friendly and helpful. Worth the trip up...will be back!!

We have been up the pass numerous time and its well worth the visit. I never tire of the amazing soup and a glass of Gluwein. I always make a point of taking my international visitors up there, never seems to get old as a...More

Prepare for a really long drive, road conditions can become treacherous especially if its been raining or snowing and visibility is a few meters tops. 4x4 is highly recommended although some foolhardly souls chance it and get lucky most of the time. If you have...More

The drive there is long on relatively bad roads. Four wheel drive, however is only needed for the last 500m of the trip. There are the border posts to go through, these are an irritation. The drive up is magnificent and the scenery at the...More

I'm not sure but I don't see why not. You can go up on bicycle and on bike so why not quads? I think you'll be able to

Sorry for the slow reply. I think you will. All you need is reasonable ground clearance and 4x4 traction. You will be fine.
