This is not easy to find, so having a local guide you helps. There is a dirt, 4 x 4 preferably, road through the forest. This is quite a special place for anyone keen on indigenous forests, plants and birds.

This is a seldom visited place that is excellent for seeing forest birds. There is a dirt road that runs through a good portion of the forest. The road is rutted and has some pot holes, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Botanists will also enjoy the trees and other amazing plants in the area. Very beautiful. There are no facilities at all, so it’s best to stop before or after in Donnybrook - or at Ixopo which is not too far. …
