About Isle of Capri Cruises
Boat Based Whale Watching Durban. Join us to watch dolphins frolicking in the swells and for the lucky ones, the HUMPBACK whales on their journey to the warmer Mozambique waters (May to November). We travel at a decent pace, as not to startle or interfere with the animals normal activities. The 11 passenger “BAFANA” Semi ridged Rubber Inflatable Boat or on a V-cat that offers you an exciting view of the whales swimming along. Your seat is facing forward and the skipper / crew at the back. Registered with SAMSA as a suitable Whale and Dolphin Watching boat since 2012. We have seen countless cetaceans. We will take you on an UNFORGETTABLE trip around Durban. We launch from the PORT. There is so much to see, that the trip would seem shorter, than what it was. We will show you enormous ship up close. Durban boasts the biggest harbour as it is capable to accommodate 58 ships at any given time and one in the Dry Dock. A LEGAL WHALE WATCHING PERMIT HOLDER.

My kids ( 15, 7) and I booked for the whale watching cruise with Isle of Capri. Everything from the booking process and the entire activity was very professionally done. Our skipper was friendly and very well informed. We had commentary throughout the tour. We were fortunate to see many dolphins as well. The whales showed up about 15 mins into the tour.. The kids had a blast. Highly recommended when visiting Durban. PS- remember anti nausea tabs if suffering from motion sickness! Thanks for a memorable experience Hafeeza

We cruised the harbour for 30 minutes on a short excursion in a very small tub. Skipper was well informed and gave interesting facts as we saw a few of the sights. Reference made to for example dry dock, grain termimal, coal termimal, etc by pointing them out at a distance? Should not expect too much for R80 should we!

Lots of fun! Boats lovely. Tour lovely. Standing up front getting soaked from hopping on the rippling on the water... priceless. We took the tour on an off peak period and had a lot of space on the boat. I recommend the hour long cruise as that goes a few meters out of the harbour and that's the fun part.
