Zoo open on Christmas Day!

Lovely park, with excellent cafe/restaurant (NOT open on Xmas Day). Not much in the zoo but nice for a stroll round, especially as it was only R10 to get in!

Ideal for family picnics. The accompanying zoo and park were well enjoyed by the young ones, but teenyboppers complained of boredom before long.

The gardens are lovely. Plenty of shade and a nice park for the kids to play. The zoo area is nice but needs some work. The coffee shop/restaurant is good but limited.

This is a nice place to take kids. Go see the animals and later picnic outside while the kids enjoy the play area.

We took my 7 year old nephew to Mitchell Park. Blue Zoo Cafe is children friendly with supervised play areas. Food was excellent and relatively inexpensive. A visit to the Zoo was cheap and worth a visit for everyone. Large park area and outdoor jungle gym area.

This is great if you are looking for a fun adventure for the kids. They love seeing all the different animals and listening to the birds calling. A good way to spend an hour or two on the weekend and afterwards, there's a jungle gym in the park or maybe even stick around for a picnic.

Wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon. The restaurant has ambiance and the food isn't half-bad, the park is lovely and lively, and the 'zoo' is a good experience to get up close and personal with a variety of animals and birds. A place to return to again and again.
