Not only is there a (small) zoo and lovely gardens, but you can also have lunch, afternoon tea or dinner here. A real on-stop, do-all attraction. A very pleasant, relaxing setting.

Been when I was a kid, and did not go back until very recently. The giant tortoises are still alive, and bigger than ever! Kids will like this place. The Blue zoo restaurant made tasty sole.

Only R7 for each person to enter and a huge array of birds and other small mammals to look at, very clean and very well looked after, another perk is seeing the wild monkeys running around (although locals think of them as pests).

Not enough entertainment for the kids, food restaurant very basic. So much potential to attract tourists.

Not the best tea garden. Too overpriced for the quality and quantity of food provided. The service is shocking too. I do not feel safe visiting Mitchells Park. The zoo is a ok, not bad, but not great. I chose the Botanical Gardens anyday.
