What a fun experience! It is quick to learn and one sees so much. We had the best tour guide, THULANI, who in addition to being an excellent guide, has some mad photography skills. The photos Thulani took looks like something that could be printed in a magazine. Our ten year old managed the skill fast and absolutely loved it. I felt safe with Thulani keeping an eye over my son and assisting him - something I could not do as this was new for me too. Even though this is a little expensive, it is really worth it - I don't regret spending the money at all - it was the highlight of our holiday!
We went for the short trip of 45 minutes, which was great for a first time. When we visit again, we will make sure to budget for one of the longer tours.

I have to HIGHLY recommend Segway Gliding Tours on their service. Tracy in the office and our guide on tour, amazing service to the both of them. They make you feel like family and calm your nerves (which I certainly needed). Our guide was so helpful and took us on a very interesting path...taking AMAZING videos and photos for us. I definitely would recommend them to anyone that is interested in Segways, as well as bicycles etc!!

It was a fun and novel way to explore Durban! A little challenging to start with but I got the hang of it with the instruction. You get to see a lot of Durban in a short time :)
I enjoyed it overall, I wished we had stopped more, but maybe I should have spoken up more!
However, really didn’t like being pressured into giving money to a guy who latched onto us who lived on the beach. That wasn’t great. I would have preferred a little more support from my guide but I guess it’s a difficult situation...

So awesome and thank you Tracy for being super helpful as our 8 year old ended up being high enough and heavy enough. He had the best time as well as my Mum who is 73!
What a cool way to see a different side of Durban. Our guide was also amazing.
Such a cool experience. The boys want to to again tomorrow.

I was hesitant but the moment Siya took us out we had an incredible time and opportunity to see Durban from another angle. Its a must for everyone and something we will do again for sure. If you can get Siya to take you out... A great tour guide! I highly recommend this experience if you can afford it.

If you visit the stadium, you have to do the Segway tour. Do the one along the beach. It is a little expensive but well worth it. The staff and guides are great.
This tour really was the highlight of my Durban visit!

Noticed this activity while walking on the promenade. This activity was one of the highlight of our trip to Durban. One can quickly learn how to use a Segway and have tons and tons of fun. This activity is well planned and executed. The guide was friendly and accommodating to those who could not use the Segway adequately. Going along the promenade was more fun than it looked. Will definitely recommend and do again whenever in Durban.

Our experience was fantastic. Byron was a brilliant guide taking photos of us and letting us explore and pick our route, I cannot stress that enough. My complaint, which I regret to share but feel it necessary, is with the lady who took our booking, who I can only assume was the manager.
As a party of 7 we turned up and made a booking in person for the following day at 9am. Upon arrival that morning, we were told they had double booked us and we could not go on the tour. As we were on holiday we found this frustrating but accepted the midday slot we had be offered. My frustration lies, not only with their inadequate booking, but that we were not even apologised to for their own mistake.
When we returned our segways, the woman then went on to make a joke about the fact they had double booked us which was entirely inappropriate and angered me extremely for her blasé attitude to wasting our time on holiday. Being frustrated I then told her, I don't think it acceptable to run a business like this which, instead of taking it well or even hinting at any acceptance of their shortcomings, blamed us for not picking up our phones when they 'tried to call to rearrange'. None of us had received a call so I asked to see the number they had been trying to get hold of us on.. which, surprise, looked nothing like any of our UK mobile numbers, or even our families home number, where we had been staying. When I told her this she defended herself by saying they wouldn't just make up a number and we must have given it to her!! Unbelievable! To imply that we were incapable of providing a phone number(!) and not acknowledge any wrongdoing or apologise for inconvenience is shocking. Purely shocking. I feel very sorry for her guides, who were brilliant, they were much more professional and would be far more capable of running the shop front than her.

Thankyou for your feedback and appreciate the time taken to make us aware of the problems incurred on your recent booking. I will personally follow up to identify whom was on duty and how this could have happened. We have a booking system that does not allow duplicate bookings so am very surprised. I am happy that you got to experience the tour and enjoyed it and Thankyou for the great words spoken of our tour guides and their professionalism. I am so happy to hear that. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Fantastic tour, with excellent training & guide. Highly recommended to appreciate how lovely & safe is our Durban Beach front. Segway is really easy to master (I'm in my 70's) & the tour is a wonderful adrenaline rush! Will definitely do more tours.
