Having been a client of The Massage Guy - Durban for almost 2yrs now, this review is a little overdue but at the same time, even more of a testament to his amazing consistency & proficiency as a massage therapist. I didn't imagine this to be possible after all this time but Lyle has just gotten better & better over the years. I put this down to his keen dedication to constantly learning new massage techniques & improving his understanding of human anatomy & physiology. He knows his way around the body and pays careful attention to detail to release every bit of pain & tension in your body. This is something truly special. If you are fortunate enough to have a massage from him, you will feel the wealth of skill & expertise he has developed during his massage career. Lyle is a true expert in his field & without a doubt one of the most gifted, skillful massage therapists in South Africa. Being a professional dancer & athlete, there is no one else I would go to for massages. I have experienced a number of massages in my life in various countries but none come close to these. I cannot express fully just how grateful & appreciative I am for this wonderfully talented therapist & all round amazing human being. Best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. XoXo

He was different from the many other massages I have had, he really takes time to listen to physical problems, and works with amazing expertise on those and also the whole body with equal and incredible skill. It is a full body massage - properly done with great experience. You can truly relax knowing you are in excellent and safe hands.

An amazing experience thanks to a very skilled, professional and passionate therapist who knows exactly what to do, This has been the best massage session I have had the pleasure to enjoy and it is very clear that this is done with pure passion from the therapist who absolutely enjoy what he is doing.
I can advise any lady out there who is not sure about this massage, go ahead and book your session today and you will not be dissappointed as it is spot on every time :)

Words cannot do justice to just how magical and blissful these massages are, they have to be experienced firsthand to be truly appreciated. An absolute treat and a little piece of heaven on earth for the hedonistic woman who takes delight in the pleasure that only a really great professional massage can provide.
No massage therapist I've had in the past, has ever demonstrated this amount of skill and talent for this beautiful physical art-form. My only regret was that I only booked a 2hr session, thinking that it would be enough time. I'm definitely going to be clearing out more time in my schedule for my next session so that I can book a 3 or 4hr session.
One of my newest addictions that I plan on giving in to as often as I possibly can :)

I honestly cannot rave enough about how amazingly skilled The Massage Guy - Durban is. Being a true massage connoisseur, having experienced massages in various cities around the world, I can quite confidently say that Lyle is hands down the cream of the crop, surpassing even my therapist back home in Canada who I always thought was the best I would find and some of the best therapists found in the top SPAs around Europe.
So what makes The Massage Guy - Durban different you ask? Quite simply, it's everything from his passion, attention to detail, thoroughness in the way he skillfully works his magic over the entire body, being wonderfully intuitive to a person's body and what it needs most to feel relaxed and stress free. What's even nicer is that he offers treatment duration of up to 5hrs, this for me was something that put him on a different level to any other therapist I know. Although I only tried the 3hr session, due to time constraints on the day of my booking, I could quite easily see myself indulging in a 5hr session the next time I visit Durban. The time flew by so quickly, perhaps due to the beautiful combination of multiple massage styles and the different sensations the rendered.
This is must have treat that any woman who truly loves and appreciates quality massages, should give herself. His prices are really good, in fact a little too low for his skill and experience levels in my opinion, so I would suggest adding a decent tip after your treatment to show your appreciation. It's not compulsory but is a lovely gesture to balance the scales of giving and receiving. It was truly a remarkable experience, I only wish that you were on my end of the world so that I could indulge in this magical treat more often! :)
