We are a family-run business based in Umhlanga Rocks (Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa) with a passion for travel and twenty years of industry knowledge that has been passed from one generation to another. We believe time is the most valuable gift that we have and we would love to help you fill your time with breath-taking landscapes, indigenous cultures and extraordinary moments with nature and her wildlife. Our handpicked overland tours will take you on a journey to magical places under African skies: elephants wallowing in the Okavango Delta; the vast deserts of Namibia; safaris deep in Tanzania’s grasslands; the wild waterfalls of Zambia; or eye to eye with a whale on South Africa’s coastline. But first we want to get to know you so that, together with our knowledge and love for the details, we can shape your best-suited tour. We recently spent a long weekend on safari at the beautiful and luxurious &Beyond Pindha Mountain Lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. Sue and her company organised it all for us, putting together a detailed itinerary in no time at all and responding to all our questions and needs in a timely, professional and highly effective manner. She met us in person at the airport with a driver to take us to the reserve and checked in to make sure we got there safely and that all was good. We had the most fantastic, amazing experience and will cherish the memories that Sue helped create. Would highly recommend her services.

We asked Sue to organise a tour that included Kruger and Victoria Falls while we were on a cruise around South Africa.
Sue had limited time arrange the trip due to our late departure from the UK to catch the ship en route, but came up with a fabulous itinerary staying 2 nights in the Kruger at the fabulous Hamitons tented Lodge and 2 nights on both the Zimbabwe and Zambian sides of the Vic Falls.
Sue accommodated numerous changes to hotels and timings patiently and with courtesy and was always on hand on WhatsApp throughout the trip to confirm and amend transfer times.
I unreservedly recommend Sue if you are considering a tour within South Africa as she offered a professional and well organised service. We plan on returning for a longer stay In South Africa next year and will certainly be contacting Sue again.

Spent a terrific half day with my Tour guy Dick in Swaziland. He was knowledgeable, gracious and offered incredible perspective on the culture. Sue, who organized the entire trip for me, was incredibly attentive to my and my families ever-changing needs. She was spot on with her communications, very reasonable with her pricing and incredibly communicative throughout my journey. Five stars to this organization

Sue and her team thought of every detail not only to plan an amazing itinerary for our family but also to replan as travel plans changed. Our family was truly treated like dear friends not merely clients from even before we stepped off the plane after excessive travel delays, lost luggage, tired kids, etc. Beginning a trip with so many bumps could have set the tone, but thanks to Sue and Fred, a solution to any issue was quickly found. This allowed us to feel carefree and soak in the breathtaking beauty and once in a lifetime moments we had been hoping for! They thought of every detail including bringing sandwiches to the airport after learning of long delays and unplanned all night travel, lent us jackets and towels to use since ours were in lost luggage, and the list could go on. They worked with the airport to find and pickup our bags while we were out enjoying Monkeyland. Sue took the stress away so our family could focus on relaxing and making memories. I had been quite concerned about safety in SA, but from the moment we arrived I knew we were in very experienced and capable hands so my worries could be put aside. Thank you Sue for covering the details and needs even before I anticipated them.
Fred (guide and driver) was terrific. As we spent the week together, we were treated like old pals. Fred’s personality was easy going yet very attentive. His knowledge of animals was spot on, but we were also able to gain a better balanced understanding of culture, history and everyday life there as well which was personally valuable. We were able to see all the animals on our wish list, and have a great time doing it! Thank you Fred for being an all around great guy and our favorite guide!

My husband and I, along with our friend from Durban, booked through Safaris for Africa a stay at Leopard Mountain Game Lodge, along with transfers, and then also a day trip to Sani Pass and Lesotho. Sue and everyone at Safaris for Africa went above and beyond. Sue was very patient and accommodating with answering all my questions and arranging our trip, including a last minute request, a date change, and adding in an airport transfer and the St Lucia Reserve on the way back. Fred went above and beyond, including taking us out of the way for a quick driving tour of Durban on the way from the airport and stopping by for breakfast in Mtunzini on the way to the game reserve so that my friend from Durban that was with us could meet up with friends for breakfast. We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed everything. I highly recommend Safaris for Africa.

Myself and my wife spent 3 days at Kruger national park in February 2022 it was a wonderfull trip from start to finish.We saw all the big five and much more.Our guide was excellent as was the accommodation we stayed at lower Sabie rest camp.Sue organised everything in advance for us and also changing a flight for us .I would recommend safaris for Africa and Sue Garson Is brilliant

As a college professor, I have planned all of my student study abroad excursions through Safaris for Africa. The tour company provides expert guidance and creative support to ensure quality experiences that meet the objectives of your educational goals. The staff is top-notch and goes way beyond to provide a rewarding experience. I highly recommend to connect with this tour company for personal and professional international trips! We have just returned from our first visit to South Africa, and we asked Sue and Emma to help us with our plans for a safari in the Kruger Park. Sue not only selected two fantastic parks she was also able to help us plan several tours during our cruise from Capetown to Mozambique. Every detail was was discussed beforehand and executed so well by Sue and her team of very helpful and knowledgeable tour guides. Dick Maree was particularly experienced and enthusiastic. Sue kept in touch throughout our holiday and there is no doubt that the happiness and contentment of the customer is at the centre of everything they do. I have no hesitation in recommending Safaris For Africa and we have already done so to many friends and family. We look forward to working with our friends at SFA for our return journey in the not too distant future.

I booked a Safari based on the beauty and user friendliness of the Safaris For Africa website. What got me hooked was how helpful Sue was throughout the inquiry and booking process. Sue and Fred meet us at our resort and bought coffee and tea and talked to us almost and hour. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE. We were flabbergasted at the level of genuine friendliness that they was shown toward us. Sue says its just the personal touch she believes customer service should be. Lastly my wife had passport issues so she was late joining us. Fred picked her up from the airport prior to taking us to Leopard Mountain. I tried to pay her extra, but she wouldn't take it. If you're booking anything in South Africa, check with Safaris for Africa before you call anyone else.

Sue and Emma were amazing in working with us to customize our Eswatini trip. We had done our own hotel reservations. Sue was Very prompt to answer all our questions and provide suggestions. Thank you Sue and Emma. Dick our guide was fabulous! His sense of humor kept us laughing as we drove sometimes long distances. Dick had deep knowledge of the background and history of Eswatini and its surrounding areas in South Africa. The vehicle was a spacious van, comfortable even on the cobbled roads that were off the beaten track. Dick adjusted some of the hiking based on our age ( we are seniors) and it was very very comfortable as a result. We will remember our trip to Eswatini with great passion and great memories. Would recommend Sue, Emma and Dick for an encore Eswatini tour! Thank you.
