Safest place in Johannesburg to roam around and shop. You get almost everything from fashion, food, groceries, toys, souvenirs, South African delicacies and much more.
There are many fashion brands and multi-brand outlets with good price offer.
Choice of restaurants and cafes including fine dining.
There is always Muslim prayer area at Seventh floor near exit 28 (to parking), where Friday prayer is also performed.

I really liked the mall.

Love this mall.
Anytime I travel for business to South Africa I visit this mall at least 3 times. I have learnt to take just the amount I need else I end up buying everything I see because they have such high quality goods.

Sandton is a huge upmarket mall with an amazing range of stores. There is a huge Woolworths and many other stores that international travelers will recognise, such as H&M.
The Mall also happens to be right next to Nelson Mandela Square which is near
a Gautrain stop (the train from Tambo Airport). so if you are stuck in Johannesburg for many hours, take the train out to Sandton and the Nelson Mandela Square.

Sandton city mall is just beautiful, its like many malls with lots of stores, eateries, lots of security and plenty of parking. This mall has 3 floors and access to Casino. It is located downtown Sandton which is a very well to do area, the mall itself is immaculate with cleaners and mall helpers everywhere. The prices in the mall where very high though due to all the security in parking garage etc. There are grocery stores e.g. Pick and Pay, theater and even banks to exchange currency. Definitely a place to go and feel the vibes of Sandton during morning , day or early evening.

We visited the Mall a couple of times during a short stay in Johannesburg. Our hotel provided a shuttle service. The Mall caters for relatively high end products. There were a lot of people around but not much spending! The adjacent Nelson Mandela Square was easily accessed as was the underground rail service next door.

This mall is big-not user friendly & has a host of high-end stores that only wealthy tourists can afford. Locals come to the mall but don't shop here, instead they head to the courtyard (Nelson Mandela Square), which is the major attraction here & worth the visit. I came here on a stat holiday, so it filled-up by the early afternoon.

While touring Nelson Mandela Square, a visit to the Sandton City Mall is unavoidable. It is a nice and large Mall with many international franchise shops as well as luxury brands. A variety of good restaurants can be found right in the mall or along the perimeter of the Mandela square. We visited at Easter and there was an open free concert in the Square. We felt very lucky to assist to the nice performance.

I went to the Sandton city mall on the Gau train. It has lots of the good brands and shops. It’s connected to the Nelson Mandela square. There is a bit of accommodation connected to it. On the square, the restaurant Trumps is excellent!!!! We went to: A cafe, A jewellers (with amazing jewellery!) and a couple of other shops. I hope this review is helpful!
