Africa Moja Tours and Transfers was beyond AMAZING. We relied on them for transfers to/from OR Tambo to Sandton. They also took us around several tours in Joburg and Cape Town. The tours were customized to our group of 30 and were beyond professional. From helping us with our bags (which was totally unexpected and unnecessary), to getting us settled in our hotel, to tours of the Apartheid Museum and Soweto in Johannesburg all the way to a small group tour of Robben Island, Table Mountain, and a full day in the Cape to a private day tour showing us the Cape of Good hope (including allowing time to hike up to the light house) and rounding out the day with a tour of a few local wineries. The last tour we did with them was a Kruger National Park Safari to see the big 5. Service was on point.

The consistently good service they provided with friendly tour guides who were helpful, curteous, and ensuring everyone was having a great time on a tour that was well paced and comfortable for everyone in our group. Our group was very diverse--consisting of about 20 people from the US, and 10 people from Kenya and South Africa, and all had a good time! I can't sing their praises enough.

It was good fun - did the Panorama Route day tour from Joburg and stayed overnight at Tembo Guest Lodge in Hazeview to do the Blyde River boat ride next day. To zee the 3 Rondavels from the viewpoint and then from the river ride was great. So was were the hippos and crocodiles in the dark green clear waters of the 3rd largest canyon in the world! Africa Moja Tours lived up to the expectations. The guide - Michael was a jolly and helpful person who showed us the other queer creations of Mother Nature - the Bourkes Luck potholes and the Berlin Falls very professionally.

I was very happy to find the Africa Moja Tour into Kruger Park from Johannesburg. It consisted of a driver Nic and Tumi and the crew at the small lodge just outside of the Park. They were very flexible with the pick-up and drop-off locations in Johannesburg. Nic was very informative regarding the area from Joburg to the Park and kept in contact with the driver in the park for our first half-day/Afternoon tour. We met our driver in the park and were off to find animals. In the evening just as the sunset we left the park for our lodge which was about 5 mins outside the park. The rooms were very nice and airconditioned. Our luggage had been delivered to the lodge for us. It was a great little lodge and we ate dinner there. They did have a vegan option which made me very happy. In the morning they gave us a box snack as we left around 5:30 am to catch the animal in the cool of the day. We got to see or at least glimpse most of the Big 5 animals. The animals camouflage very well. We also took a break on each tour to grab something to eat and check out the visitors center. Overall it was a great tour and I was very happy with the outcome. Unfortunately, I haven't downloaded my pictures.

We did a short 2-day, 1-night Kruger NP Safari. We were picked up from our hotel in Pretoria by Michael, our driver in a large very comfortable AC van.

The 5-hour drive was very nice with a lunch break before we reached our lodge.

The lodge was very cute and clean with a wonderful view.

We went on the afternoon game drive with our guide Given, who was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We saw some animals then. The next morning we left the lodge at 4:45 am. And Given worked very hard to get us to see all big fives, but the Rhino. We were happy with all we could see within the short trip.

n Johannesburg.
All the staff were friendly and attentive to our needs.

Africa Moja did make our trip memorable. Michael later transported us to the airport.

We are a young couple from the UK visiting South Africa for the first time. We used Africa Moja Tours and Safaris for our transfer from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg. Everything was very easy from the beginning. Immediate response on WhatsApp, fair pricing and trustworthy payment system.

Our driver, Ben, was on time to pick us up from our hotel. He was very friendly and professional. Car was clean and comfortable. We felt safe at all times. We arrived at our destination at the time we agreed.

We couldn’t have asked for more! Great experience

We did two trips with Africa Moja. The first was transfer from Johannesburg Airport to Hazyview and the second was Panorama Route tour which included drop off to Johannesburg. I must say both the tours went much better than our expectations, which was largely due to our driver cum guide Michael. He was always ready to help and he tried his best to give us the most awesome experience. The vehicle provided to us was also top notch. The communication from Africa Moja was timely and very professional. I do not hesitate to recommend their services to the travelling community at TA.

''What people do not expect to see or hear about when visiting Pretoria's Church Square, the Voortrekker Monument and the Zonderwater Prisoners of War Museum, is the interesting Italian connection to all three. Starting with the Voortrekker Monument, many visitors and tourists do not realize on seeing 'Base Relief no.15'', that it is the Italian heroin of the Battle of Bloukrans (16/17.2.1838) namely Teresa Viglione, who saddled a horse (as you see there) realizing that the Voortrekker Lager at Bloukrans was being attacked, and rode down the Bushmens River, warning others along the way of the imminent danger of Dingaan's Zulu Impi approaching them. From the Voortrekker Lager of Carel Maritz, she sped onto Doornkop, arriving back to with reinforcements, and treating the injured Voortrekker children with Salph and Basalm that she had brought along with her from the Cape. She was highly praised for her brave efforts, along with her two male trading companions, who like herself were from Piedmont, North West Italy. The Voortrekkers with the opening of the Voortrekker Monument did not forget her, dedicating a base relief to her.
The foundations of the Voortrekker Monument were laid by an Italian builder and businessman from Osoppo, near Udine, northern Italy, who had arrived in South Africa in 1926, and had settled in Johannesburg. Lupini , another Italian from Piedmont, was responsible for the Voortrekker Wagon engravings. The small statues on the inside walls of the monument deplicting in small statue form was made by Professor Romano Romanelli and his team. Chipped out and made from Carrara marbel, like the bronze statues at the monument, plus the statue of President Paul Kruger, and the Voortrekker figures below him at Church Square. All made and casted in Rome, and shipped out to South Africa. The Romanelli family are still in business to-day in Florence, Italy and are internationally well known.
Another important museum in Pretoria is the Zonderwater Italian Prisoner of War Museum, which is a member of the ''International Museum Association'', where one can see and hear much of the Italian creations and works of these prisoners(some 96,000 of them) who contributed greatly to South Africa. Dr Emilio Coccia is the creator of this museum, and will enlighten visitors on their arrival at the museum. The first Sunday of November is dedicated to these prisoners of war every year, and anyone who wishes to attend the ceremony is most welcome.

I went on a full day Cradle of Human Kind and Sterkfontein Caves Tour with MoAfrika Tours. It was a full interesting tour and I wish it lasted longer than the 5 1/2 hours we were given. Just a word of warning, this tour although it says a full day it does not provide time for a lunch stop so make sure you bring something to eat and drink to have on the bus.

With a day to get over jet lag before starting Safari, a group of us did the afternoon tour and dinner at Lesedi Cultural Village. The guide was enthusiastic and the food was OK. On balance, we were all glad we went, but it is overall of average quality as an attraction.
