Sadly the reserve is slowly falling into disrepair, activities that are allowed are not being obeyed hiking walking bird and animal watching and taking pictures.,Last time a naked man and girl were there in a water area , people are committing indecent sexual acts in the reserve there was a used condom on the path ,teens taking/smoking drugs, drinking is happening in the amphitheater and reserve, young men were throwing rocks, people are using the nature reserve for sport/running which is forbidden by nature reserve by- laws .the lapa and benches are broken , The gate to enter the reserve has not been fixed since the floods. people are littering .Playing radios or cellphone music loudly , people are going off the trails and in the water which has suffered from a few sewerage leeks .trails are in a bad shape due to misuse from runners and erosion which has not been fixed or prevented from further occourance. The toilets are clean grass in the amphitheater is cut and tidy .The old bird hide burnt down due to people leaving candles burning unattended so now there is a kind of platform to stand on but it's not a bird hide in anyway.vandals have been putting graffiti in a few areas and the path way signs are damaged in some areas .

I enjoyed this hike so much, the place is so lovely, the layout so good, few different walking trails with kids, what an awesome time, the views from the top stunning, Keep up the good work!!
Enjoy the fact that they can have different Tours inside the Nature reserve for example they have a mining tour to an old mine area inside the Nature reserve, they have evening hikes where people can see the different frogs and creepy crawleys in the reserve.

While the park is good, the security at the gate is not that friendly and no one ever pick up the phone. I have phoned more than 10 times and have never had someone pick up the phone.

With low budget this is perfect for family and good place to just get peace of mind. You can walk or just have a picnic for the day.

I come here at least twice a week to start my day in prayer.

This is a well maintained park. Just to bad that sometimes you see the work of vandals at work, but the Reserve does try to keep ahead of them by fixing things.

I think we need more volunteers to help with fixing things here.

A beautiful spot right in the middle of suburbia. Break away and enjoy nature where you least expect it. Good for birding on a variety of shorter or longer trails through the hillsides including a dam with a bird hide. Good variety of habitats.

Good bird watching, colorful and beautiful. Not too many people on the trails, relax and quiet. Fountains at the entry where you can get water to drink, also big space for picnics.

Also there is some activities to do organised by Friend of Kloodendal (Mine Tours, Tree identification, Butterflies Walks, Frog Walks...)
