It is really a peaceful and safe venue for us to walk. Best part it is free. The Rose Kitchen is now operated by the owner itself and well worth a visit. There are a big play area for the kids. It is also a dog-friendly venue, just keep your dog on a lease. Toilets are available and clean. And lastly there are over 10 000 roses to view and smell. This is a must visit on a daytrip to Pretoria.

Beautiful rose garden with fragrant and unusual roses. Highly recommended visit for flower lovers. Also a small shop for rose products like biscuits, oils, bath salts, and gardening products. Worth the drive.

We went for brunch and was totally blown away by the size of the nursery and the unbelievable beauty of the roses.
If you are a keen gardener or not, definitely worthwhile to visit.
The food and service was also excellent.
I took all the fotos myself

I love Ludwigs, ever since my wife's first visit to South Africa when she got a personal tour by the owner with her parents of the production farm. We go there for all of our families special occasions. We love the cafe, the food is spectacular, you can even buy rose infused sweets, salt and pepper at the shop. We buy their roses for our garden they are the best roses we have ever had. They smell like heaven.
Best place on earth.

The amount of roses are astounding and you can buy special cultivars. What is amazing is all the other things you can buy with the rose theme. Soap, liquor, cream ext. They also have a lovely tea garden. Lovely weekend outing!

Lovely surroundings as Roses were coming into bloom. Went to the restaurant for tea and cake; found it incredibly expensive, R52 for a slice of cake! Ok, it was enormous and could possible be shared between two. Had to wait ages for drinks to arrive but they was a waiter fault and not generally how things go, as we saw others getting drinks fairly quickly.

If you like roses then this is the place to go. However, it is not the best rose farm I have visited. There is a very great variety of roses and your pick is fantastic. I believe the atmosphere could have been greater because you have all the beauty in the world around you. One gets the impression money is the object and because a lack thereof restricts certain developments.

We visited this place with a group of 7 for a Saturday morning Parkrun. The run was well organized and walking on the farm is fun. After the run, we visited the restaurant. This was a bit of an appointment. Things went slow and when the food arrived, it was close to cold.
