Mark was one of the best driver/guides we have ever had the pleasure to travel with. He was professional, knowledgable, dedicated to ensure we did everything we wanted (all of my photos). Mark went over and above to make our tour memorable and he fully succeeded. I would definitely recommend Footprints in Africa for an unforgettable experience!

Can highly recommend the 10 day Blyde, Kruger, Ponto and Eswanti tour.
Well organized and enough time in each location to take in the sights and not feel rushed.
Mark is an excellent guide, historian, naturalist, driver and all around great guy. Already want to plan another trip with Footprints.

My 3 friends and I had suuuuch an amazing time with Mark during our 7 day tour from Joburg to Eswatini to Mozambique then to Kruger. We saw so many animals on both our included and optional safaris. I am not ashamed to say we took him up on all the optionals.😆 if you like seeing animals in their natural habitat, make sure to sign up for all the tours. All were well worth the extra money.

We met wonderful people on our trip, too. It was so well organized, the food was great and Mark was such an easygoing guide and he was a great driver as well. Thank you for humoring us with our huge suitcases and all the pictures we wanted to take.

The 7 days was enough as a small taste of Africa but I would definitely be back for more. <3

We chose a 7-days-tour including Kruger NP+Eswatini+St Lucia. Our guide was Mark and he’s very professional and made us feel safe, relax and enjoyed our trip.
We really appreciate to have such an unforgettable journey and Mark shared the history of Africa is the best harvest for us.

We will definitely recommend Footprints in Africa as a reliable agency and believe you can have a wonderful memory with them!

Thanks Mark, thanks Footprints in Africa!

We did the 7 day tour of Kruger, Mozambique and Eswatini. Although the trip can include up to 12 people, we were only 3 on our tour which made it a very personal experience. Our guide, Francois was very knowledgeable about local culture and history for the areas we visited. We had lots of great conversations through the week and he was always on hand before and after the activities to make sure we were looked after. He also took us to some local hidden gems for meals, Mama Alice's being a highlight! There was flexibility in the itinerary such that we were able to do a few extra sightseeing activities although this may be more difficult to accommodate in a larger group. This tour packs a lot into one week! It was a great way to visit lots of places we would otherwise have struggled to do on our own, with the safety of a local guide. It included 3 different national parks (Kruger, Hlane, and Mlilwane) each offering their own positives. In Kruger we managed to tick off the big 5 and most of the 'ugly' five animals. Hlane is a smaller park but with much more information given on the game drives and the excitement of walking among white rhinos! Finally Mlilwane has none of the more dangerous animals and so you can walk around freely among a range of animals which is nice.
The only thing that we would note is that we booked via Detour Africa and the itinerary had been reversed to what we had been provided which was a bit confusing! We would advise booking direct with Footprints in Africa as you'll be able to get more accurate information about the tour. We would definitely recommend this trip!

At the very beginning of March, we two made our trip through the eastern part of South Africa, using the services of François from Footprints in Africa. In 10 days we drove the Panorama Route, spent two days on a safari in Kruger Park (finally seeing a leopard for the first time), visited Swaziland (beehive houses in Mlilwane and a breathtaking walking safari to rhinos in Hlane Royal National Park), made a boat trip to hippos, ate delicious seafood, wandered through the impressive sand dunes on the ocean coast in St. Lucia, saw large herds of elephants, buffalo and giraffes in Hluluwe National Park and finally climbed to the Tugela waterfall in Drakensberg. Initially, the route was supposed to include Mozambique, but Freddy 23 tropical cyclone made its own adjustments. François promptly offered us an equivalent alternative, and we did not regret it at all.
Our accommodation has always been comfortable (sometimes whole bungalows or even duplex apartments), the food is delicious, the transfers are not tiring, as we traveled by a new comfortable Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Francois turned out to be an excellent driver, guide and just an interlocutor who managed to tell a lot with his fascinating stories us about the history, geography and customs of their country. He was very caring and attentive, he always helped us to solve various issues that arose during the trip. We always felt ourselves completely safe.

We did the 7-day tour in Eswatini, Mozambique, and Kruger! It was worth every penny. It offered us a safe and organized way to explore some of the countries surrounding South Africa, and helped us see much more than we would have if we had been on our own. Our guides Marinda and Petra were incredible and so knowledgeable about all the places we traveled to. They took such good care of us, it was sad to say goodbye when the tour ended! We would love to book more tours with them in the future.

In a short time (10 days) we were able to go on game drives and walks in Kruger, Swaziland (Eswatini) and Hluhluwe seeing all "big 5" including leopards at close range on 3 occasions, but the parks and scenery were the stars. We saw the "12 apostles" dramatic Southern Drakensburg peaks on the way to the highest pub in Africa in Lesotho, and then walked in the Northern Drakensburg.
All the while our guide Mark was unfailingly helpful and flexible (ie gave choices and additional options) and actually quite a historian of his country right back to the early tribes and subsequent migrations, then of course the Europeans. He also found us our first lions basking in the sun.
Absolutely and completely unforgettable!

We had an excellent holiday with Mark from Footprints in Africa as our guide and driver. Mark's a very experienced guide and knows a lot of African history, culture and nature.

We had booked a 10 day tour with a group of 4 people. We had planned to visit several places and natural parks in South Africa, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho (Kruger, Maputo, Hlane, Hluluwe, St. Lucia, Sani Pass and Durban). However, due to sudden floods, we weren't able to cross the border to Mozambique side so we had to change our itinerary and travel plans quite of a sudden. Mark and Francois took care of all the changes for us everything went super smoothly with the accommodation changes etc.

In general, Footprints was very flexible with our requests and everything was made super easy for us. We just needed to enjoy our stay.

I would highly recommend Footprints in Africa to everyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday with lots to see!
