Francois is a very friendly and knowledgeable person and taught me a lot about South Africa during the drive from Pretoria to Pilanesberg. On top of it, I've got the change to have a fabulous guide, Yoan who is extremely passionate about his job and also very knowledgeable. Thanks to him, I've got the chance to witness lion, leopard, rhino, and the most amazing elephant scene plus a lot more animals in just one day. A huge thank you for this beautiful experience!

Amazing few days to Pilanesburg with the team. Excellent friendly service and the best prices. Johan is an expert guide. He knows each Leopard and Elephant by name. Highly recommended. Will be back with my kids in a few years when they can truly appreciate this incredible place.

Hi Gareth Thank you for the feedback. We are very happy that you had a great time with us in Pilanesberg National Park. We hope you enjoy your time in Cape Town, and that the Barmy Army will have better luck down in the Mother City. Looking forward to having you back and meeting the kids.

We spent three days in Pilanesberg National Park with Footprints in Africa and we have to say it's been One the best experiences we've ever had!! Yoann is a fantastic guide, he knows everything about the animals that live in the park and thanks to him we could see several Lions and a Leopard too!! He loves his job and he passed to us his infinite passion for the African wildlife. When we were not doing Safari (and trust us, it was a Very little time), we spent time at the Camp swimming in the pool and eating the delicious food prepared by Norbert. We'd recommend this company to anyone who's interested to do a safari of few days without spending 5-6 hours in the car to go to Kruger Park. For a reasonable price, you'd get one of the best experience of your life! Thank you again!! Alessandro and Melanie

Thank you for you review. Thanks again for the amazing feedback, we are pleased to hear that it was one of your best experiences. We hope to see you in the future for more amazing experiences. Johan (Yoann) does have a real passion for wildlife and conservation. Its always good to hear our guides and staff are doing a great job representing us. I will be sure to pass on the message to Johan and Norbert. We are grateful that we have Pilanesberg National Park on our door step, less than 3 hours from Pretoria and Johannesburg. Regards, Footprints

I paid for a three day Kruger safari; got only two days...The tour guide was not courteous, and he was not professional at all! He kept informing one person in the group of plans leaving out everyone else... I kept getting excuses as to why the third day of the safari was not possible; some of which are "It was optional (My itinerary clearly stated three days); "the person who was to take on the third day got sick," "If we wanted the third day, we had to wake up at 3 am for the third day" on an on.... The guide reflected dislike toward US Tourists, and complained, to other non-US Tourists, throughout the trip about how US tourists come to Southafrica spending their dollars and yet how they are never happy with service...and that people including the Guide in Africa struggle... Also, they made us pay for drinks as part of dinners which were to be included in the price!... I would not recommend them at all... In case you are looking to book a safari in South Africa, a few suggestions: Make sure to layout, in a contract, in detail what is included (and what is not) before paying ...in general South African agencies seem to have the culture of over-promising yet under-delivering...

I was in South Africa for a conference, and the organizers recommended Footprints to anyone who wanted to stay after to go on safari. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to stay for an extra 10-12 days for a longer trip. This 4-day trip was very well organized and packed a lot in to a short time. I was very happy with prompt clear communication when I made initial inquiries and booked, with the guide (Gert), with the accommodations, and everything I saw. There was excellent attention to detail so that everything ran smoothly from the time I was picked up in my hotel in Pretoria to when I was dropped at OR Tambo airport. The trip included a nighttime safari (run by park personnel) and a full day safari (run by a private company called Elephant Heard). Both were excellent. We saw loads of different animals large and small and lots of interesting birds. I learned lots about South Africa and its history from Gert. It was a wonderful 4-days and very reasonably priced. I recommend highly!
