Went for a morning outing with my young son and he absolutely loved it 🤩Great for families with children who want to do something outdoorsy. You can feed the animals and even pet the rabbits and Guinea Pigs ☺️. Make it a day and pack a picnic basket and let your children experience some beautiful animal interactions. …

The visit to Bester Park was an experience I’d rather forget. It’s an old fashioned zoo with too many animals squashed into cages too small for them. The only free roaming animals were tortoises and you have to be very careful not to fall over or step on them. The staff were friendly and seemed oblivious to the dire living conditions they provide. It was mostly clean and I’m afraid that’s the only positive thing I can think of to say. My advice - go somewhere else! …

How are establisment's like this allowed? It is criminal. The cages are tiny, old and dirty. Disgusting. Animals are bored out of their minds and show signs of stress and pacing and lethargy. Absolute Cruelty. Surely the SPCA or National zoo authority should shut them down? Come on! - CLOSE THIS HELL HOLE.…

Nice outing for toddlers. Aquarium also nice to visit. Relaxing. Nice to walk around with the kids. Easy access to the venue.

This venue is situated in the East of Pretoria, close to the Grove Mall. The park consist of exotic birds, and other animals. Nice picnic venue for kiddies parties, or just a outing if you don't want to visit the Zoo
