Great space to visit for an afternoon out with the family.

The place is very well kept and maintained.

All exhibitions are in great order and the entrance fee is very reasonable.

The displays are informative, but a lot of the functions and extras are not working. A person can see that the museum was very good a while back, but it is not being maintained properly. Still worth it though.

This is a relatively large museum covering a lot of things. Kids would really love it. The place is a bit dusty. Perhaps improvement in ventilation and cleaning will help.

I took my children here for a educational visit, as I used to go there often while I was in school.Unfortunately the experience was much different than I remembered.

The displays are still very educational, but in big parts the lights/indicators are not working anymore. There are also areas that we had to use our cellphones for light, otherwise we would have been walking in the dark.

This museum is a hit with my children, aged 10, 8 and 6. The three year old is a bit small for this kind of adventure. They, and I, loved to look at the different kinds of animals, and I loved how they preserved all the birds, and displayed them together with their eggs and nests. The displays were made quite a few years ago, and some updates would be welcome. Nevertheless an astounding display of our natural world.
The section with all the minerals and the galaxy is mind blowing. A must see for all young children (and their parents)

It needs a good 2h at least to look at the extensive collection. I was there for a dinner set within the museum. Interesting concept.

This museum hasn’t been marketed well as very few local children have ever visited. Unsure of the the exact entrance fee but it was very cheap! Lots of very informative items are on display but little progress has been made in the last few decades presumably due to lack of funds. Still worth it to visit!

This is an eyecandy for a museum lover. Inside are extensive collection of fossils which includes the famous Australopithecus africanus, preserved animals and mineral disppalys among others. This is walking distance from Gautrain Pretoria Station and has minimal entrance fee. A visit together with kids will be a memorable one.

Interesting to see how everything is set out. Could use some maintenance as most of the lights were off.

The variety of display is incredible, from the early ages to minerals to animals and the collection of birds egg is something.
