I always wanted to go to the museum but i was too introvert to do myself. My friend took me there and i fell in love at first glance. I loved seeing my favorite art nouveau. My most favorite site was in the Old Art Building Dutch family room. It was like travelling back in the time. The furniture, artifacts and paintings were breathtaking. It cannot simply be put into words, only was to experience it is to go there and see for yourself.

Great experience we had with the Grade 7 Learners of Peter Mokaba Primary School from Moloto (Mpumalanga Province) and the Tour Guide (Mr Stevens) was exceptional, he made our visit worthwhile and very informative...

Artology is an impressive curatorial effort that truly showcases the dedication of over a century’s collection and conservation effort by the UP Museums. The works contained in this collection are a valuable contribution to the visual historical record of South Africa, made even more impactful by the evident preservation and conservation efforts of the UP. This exhibition contains some of the best-maintained masterworks and just that alone is well worth the experience. The Javett-UP is an equally impressive museum; a truly is a state-of-the-art facility, and the synergy between UP-Museums and the Javett-UP Arts Centre was palpable on opening night.

Best Museum in Pretoria, has unique collection in the galleries and friendly staff. The prices are really affordable, only paid R80 for an introductory tour.
