About
At Shepherd’s Fold Stables in the Lanseria area, we offer a variety of trail ride options to allow visitors to explore our amazing landscape on horseback and we are well equipped to accommodate riders of every level and experience. The stables can accommodate up to 8 riders at a time and each group trail ride is led by an experienced Shepherd’s Fold guide. The trails go through the most beautiful routes, through the neighbouring farms, stopping along the way to take in the stunning views of Johannesburg, the Magaliesberg and Cradle of Humankind nearby. We offer 1 hour 1.5 hour and 2 hour long trail rides. We only offer 1 hour trails on a Saturday.

Family
Very friendly people, place was easy to find. Horses are in excellent condition and well cared for. Had a lovely ride in the countryside with my daughter and a guide by the name of Watson. Can definitely recommend doing the trail ride. I will be back to do it again. Absolute value for money.

Awesome experience, superfriendly and welcoming staff, from the booking with Belinda to the trail guide with Kinswell, such amazing people. We'll trained horses, clean and friendly. I was super impressed by the experience.

The ride was absolutely amazing and the service was great too. My friends and I ran an hour late and they were very accommodating. The guides were very helpful. However, a decent reception area/seating area would be great. Refreshments sold on site would also be much appreciated.

The five of us had lots of fun and thoroughly enjoyed our outride, scenery was lovely. Stables were all neat and clean and well organised and our guide was very good and professional.

My daughter and I had such a lovely morning outride. I hadn’t been on a horse in years and this ride was a perfect way to reignite the passion , spend some QT with her and not be too stiff to walk the following day. Thanks so much !!

I did 4 lessons here and a trek and they were all excellent. Staff are very freindly and the tuition was top draw and tailored to the progress of the rider. All set in really nice location in the countryside for the trekking. Definitely recommended.

I enjoyed my first riding trail. The instructor was friendly and patient with me. Thank you to James for being the lead, and Norman (the horse I was riding, he was such a sweety).

Shepherd's Fold stables is the ideal place to go and enjoy nature on well mannered and sweet horses, who are all fat and happy. The trails are fun and you will be looked after well by your guide. Definitely worth going to for a different experience!
