Went with friends to do a hike recently, completed the green route. The trail is picturesque and scenic. Can take some beautiful pics along the river and dam wall. Not a shady route so need to carry water and hats. There's always activities so can be busy. Did not know about the other activities like canoeing / fishing. Did not hear good comments about the restaurant so avoided that. The R70 entrance fee is otherwise well spent.…

From a favorite place to we will never go again! Minus TWO. Our chips were either from left overs or 3 days old, a pity Jean left. The chef is either inexperienced or has a don't care attitude so does the floor manager. She is way over her head, cares only for large sittings. She has no clue that loyal, happy customers create income. The owner had a great dream and the place is popular but this can change overnight. No mention at the gate of R50 conservation fee, previously R30. The gate keeper had a hangover and gave permits for free to the vehicle ahead of us. We have no problem with the fee but when the meal is shocking and the table covered with flies it is unacceptable. We have asked for candles and are still waiting. Many friends and family visited Cradle Moon a few times we will NEVER go back, stay away!…

NEVER again! We had a great afternoon until it got to a point where our children had an encounter with some kids(white) who persistently threw Zebra poo at our children ages 4,5,12 and 13(Black) and calling them derogatory names. Initially we approached the parents so they could intervene and left it in good faith. Surprisingly, the kids continued and our kids had footage of this. Again, we went back to the parents then the father started verbally attacking us and mentioned that kids are kids and this kind of thing happens everywhere in the world which we then said, absolutely not. While all of this was happening, a white female who claimed to be one of the managers came to us to mention that she has clients and we are making noise - we would like to stress that she didn’t even bother herself with why this was happening. Upon the group leaving, we approached her to gain an understanding of her utterances and she confirmed that we were yelling and now the group that left will never come back. To that, we also said we will never set foot in their establishment ever again. Might I add, we NEVER received an apology. You can imagine how saddened we are that our children had to experience such behavior at their early ages with no one being held accountable!…
