Majestic white stallions
Dec 2019 • Couples
A solely non-profit organisation that relies on donations, sponsorships and ofcourse, guests supporting their Sunday shows and other events.

It is singularly one of the most powerful, beautiful, elegant and majestic things you'll ever get to see. White Lippizzaner stallions doing what they do best!

Support them as much as you can😊

White Christmas with Lippizanners
Dec 2019 • Family
The SA Lippizanners had a Christmas show, showing off these beautiful, agile and majestic horses.

These horses are born dark brown/ black and the colour changes as they grow.

The horses were paraded in groups and solo with the songs in celebration of Christmas in the background.

After the show, the kids were able to feed the horses, buy tack and souvenirs.

An Outstanding Outing
Jan 2019 • Family
A visit to Johannesburg is not complete without seeing the outstanding Lipizzaner show in Midrand . I can think of no better way to spend Sunday morning than by watching these magnificent Lipizzaner stallions prancing precisely to music. Do not miss this golden opportunity of seeing these beautiful white stallions and their outstanding riders!

Long weekend outings
Apr 2018 • Family
This was a disappointment the show is only an hour long with not much to see the horses take a few turns nothing spectacular. This kids enjoyed feeding the horsed and padding them but that was about that. The sound was also very poor during the show.
If they want to attract people they will have to upgrade.

Pleasant surprise

If you have been looking for a different and special excursion near Pretoria/Johannesburg visit the Lippizaner show on a Sunday. It must be one of the most beautiful outings in Gauteng. The South African Lippizaners has a long and proud history, and the horses are truly spectacular. We attended a special Mothers Day show. It is one of those special events really catering to the whole family. Our party included two grandmothers, a grandfather and a young child and they all loved the show. To spoil ourselves on Mothers Day we pre-ordered picnic baskets, and they were delicious and the portions very generous. The food was fresh, of excellent quality and great value for money. We paid R180 for a basket for two which could easily have fed four. The picnic was served in beautifully presented baskets at tables in the courtyard, surrounded by the horses stables. My daughter loved meeting the stars of the show afterwards. The show was full but there was ample space to have our meal and we never felt crowded. It is evident that the horses are loved and cared for and the nicest thing about it is that it does not feel like a typical event for commercial gain. We spent a lovely morning in the presence of these majestic animals and I can highly recommend the experience.

Unique experience, highly recommended
Jan 2015 • Family
We had attended the Lipizzaners show on Sunday morning, last month. It was an amazing experience and never-seen-before kind of show which lasts for about 60 - 70 mins. It is a like a ballet of the stallions moving/jumping/galloping gracefully to some Western classical music.

We were informed, at the start of the show, that the only other place, where this kind of show can only be seen, is Austria. Some information about the horses was provided intermittently. During the show, we saw the horses, sometimes solo and sometimes in a group, perform different routines based on the music playing in the background. It was mind-blowing and breath-taking to see the horses move in perfectly graceful and synchronized movements and appear to be in perfect harmony.

After the show, we visited the horses in their stables and bought carrots for them to eat. The horses ate them very nicely without any fuss. They have a restaurant which serves food and drinks there but we chose not to go there as it was very crowded after the show.

Overall, it was a one-of-a-kind experience and highly recommended.

A good Sunday outing, especially if you have visitors
Dec 2014 • Family
The Lippizaner shows, which are held every Sunday, are lovely. The horses which perform are very entertaining. Special events, eg Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and Christmas (with carols, which is a beautiful show) are celebrated and are well worth attending. After the show, you can visit the horses in their stables and buy carrots for them to eat. South Africa is very privileged to be able to have these horses in our country and the shows help towards the costs of keeping the horses. Well worth a visit. Drinks and refreshments are on sale.

incredible show
Dec 2012 • Family
we went to the Xmas show at the centre and we were just enthralled by the beauty and grace of the horses. it was simply stunning.
my daughter got bored about 2/3 of the way through, though I was impressed that she lasted that long.
being the Xmas one, they did a nativity thing and santa etc. the kids loved it and participated. not mine, unfortunately.
it's something we will definitely do again though.
and best of all, you get to go visit the horses in the stables afterwards, buy some carrots and feed and pat them. sheer heaven for horse lovers, to be up close to such incredible animals.
