Nyaki was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and interesting as she took a group of about 10 around the downtown area, showing us historical sites and giving us insight on South African politics.

Very nice and informative, both tours. Centre tours shows the old centre and the Braamfontijn tour the University area.

I took the City Center Tour and learned a lot more about South Africa's history than I thought I would in two hours! The inner city is full of historic sites; and our guide, Mark Petzer, was very knowledgeable and offered great perspective on the events and experiences that have shaped Joburg. It is not advisable to carry any bags... More

We joined both the city centre and Bramfontein tours with Sethu and Martin respectively. Both gave very clear, concise and insightful views of Johannesburg that you couldn't possibly get on your own. The two tours are quite different, but equally good and we felt quite safe. We went on two consecutive days, but you can do them in one day... More

I have visited Jo'burg four times in the last two years and done pretty much all of the main tourist attractions. This walk gave me by far the best understanding of how the CBD and the city have changed over the last 20 years- and are changing now. Our walk was led by Sethu - smartly turned out and with... I was pleased with my CBD walking tour as well as the Braamfontein one. The CBD tour focuses more on history and change while the Braamfontein tour strongly emphasizes public art. While I was really urged not to bring my messenger bag with me, I insisted I would take proper precautions, and I was later consistently told by South Africans... More

I do a lot of walking tours. This one was good, but it needs refinement. Overall, the tour delivers on its promise. It is a two hour walking tour of downtown Josie. But it is not really 'free.' I linked up with this tour from the Hop On Hop Off bus as the Park Metro and Train station. That in... More
