1 Fox has a number of interesting places to tantalise your taste buds. Having been here a few times, with colleagues for a quick bite or family on a Sunday, the vibe is relaxed and we all get to choose exactly what we feel like.

Arrived Sunday morning at approx 11.30am no one was around we were told that most places only open later. We left and went elsewhere.

One of the easiest places to access in downtown Joburg from the highway (especially since the southern section of the highway is now closed). Truly outstanding food and a microbrewery in a pleasant in or outdoor setting (overlooking the notorious old John Vorster police building). Ample secure parking. A few different eateries. Look out for special events which are always worthwhile.

It was Chinese New Year and this place was a wonderful escape from the street craziness.

What a nice vibe.great market atmosphere

Went in to collect my race pack for the FNB Joburg 10K City Run and found so much more. Great food, Great coffee. Nice hidden gem!!

It seems Saturdays have lost their buzz-iness. Was very quiet, but food was tasty. Would love to see this market revitalize itself and pick up - perhaps a fresh marketing campaign :)

Friday nights are quiet so don't bother unless you're going to the good luck bar next door with live entertainment. There are plenty food stalls to choose from, you're bound to find your meal of the day there. A pleasant surprise was a little later when a whole host of cyclists of all ages and arrived and immediately there was a different vibe.

The little book store is a delight. A few classic 2nd hand books and some books one would never buy.. But I did :)

The vegetarian bunny chow and samoosas at Curry King are divine. We didn't try the meat options. Easily the best place to eat at 1 Fox.
