We booked a very last minute 5 day tented Safari to Sabi Sands and the Kruger with Moafrika. Wayne from MoAfrika was our point of contact and from our initial enquiry to the end of our tour he was fantastic. We only confirmed 2 days before our arrival and despite the availability of accommodation being very tight he managed to arrange our stay. The rest of the team working for Moafrika were great, the staff were friendly, polite and obviously keen to make sure the guests had a great experience. The Safari itself was run by Tydon Safaris at Sabi Sands and exceeded all our expectations. Again the staff were fantastic and I really can’t praise the guides enough. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and just happy to be able to show off the bush and its animals to each and every visitor. A truly memorable experience and one that I would highly recommend....thank you for a fabulous holiday.

I organised a four day safari with Wayne , who was very informative, professional and acted promptly. He found a place that suited our budget. The trip was so much fun, relaxing, educational with the guides. Certainly be doing this again.

Really informative and enjoyable tour of Soweto. Our guide, Emma, was friendly and full of energy and information. We stopped at the Hector Pieterson memorial museum and at Mandela House on Vilakazi Street and also had a tour of an informal settlement in Soweto with a local guide. I learned a lot about Soweto and the apartheid struggle. Would really recommend this tour.

really enjoyed the full day Pilanesberg safari with my 16 year old daughter. The pick-up from pretoris was very convenient and the driver at the park was full of great fun facts that the driver/guide provided.

Our pickup and drop off driver called Sunny was absolutely brilliant funny knowledgeable kept us entertained and laughing all the time very clever guy to ,no questios were difficult to explain to us.

Lunch is also included with the fee; there were different great options from a grilled cheese sandwich to burgers - both with fries and a soft drink.
My partner booked last minute booking from UK using
WhatsApp while i was in south Africa and it all worked out well, no problems or confusions. I would really recommend it for anyone thy pick you up anyway.

Our hosts and our guide/tracker were all amazing as were the wonderful people who cooked and looked after us at Greenfire Lodge. COVID caused us to have the whole place to ourselves and it kind of spoiled us (not a bad thing at all!).
The food was fantastic and the accommodations were immaculate. Our quarters overlooked a dry riverbed where animals routinely roamed. It was very exciting.
Our hosts were filled with good stories and information and we learned quite a bit. Our guide, Victor, was jovial, comical, passionate and very well trained at what he does. He constantly said "akoomba matata" which always made us laugh. We felt very much "at home" while knowing we were far from it!
We totaled up the animals and birds that we saw while we were there to the best of our memories. We saw 4 of the big 5 and were lucky enough to count Black Rhino and leopard among them. Our list came to about 40.
The travel to get there (due to COVID) was quite tedious with the masks and a very strict Germany in the mix, but it was all worth it...100%!

Excellent guide and wonderful experience with Mo Afrika Tours @ Tremisane Lodge

We booked our safari at Tremisane lodge with Mo Afrika tours , for 4 days and 3 nights. The safari was an incredible experience, thanks to our young but very experienced guide .During our safari, our guide made sure to do everything possible to find all the animals including the BIG5 we wanted to see,and did not stop looking until he found them all, and then took the time to explain in details all there is to know about every species and to answer all of our questions.
We highly recommend Mo Afrika Tours for safari bookings and day tours for the excellent quality of service, the best value in the area and for the great people we encountered on our journey that assists with every possible need covered and leaves no stone unturned for their guests.

The guide Marc was friendly, knowledgeable and ran the tour at an easy pace. You get picked up and dropped at your hotel. The tour itself gives a great insight into Soweto, visiting the main landmarks including Orlando Tower, Nelson Mandela House, The Museum, you get a chance to meet the locals, who are very friendly, buy a souvenir, see street performances, amongst other things - it's an incredible and unique place so really glad I went and would thoroughly recommend.

A memorable day in Soweto. Our guide Thabang was very well informed and shared his knowledge in a very entertaining way with us. After a short stint at the FNB stadium we got to see the different housing situations and classes in Soweto, which was both interesting and moving as we also visited a day care with a group of ‚troublemakers‘. Hector Peterson Museum, Mandela House and the Apartheid Museum gave an impression of how Apartheid must have been and how long the way was to abolish it. A must for everyone who wants to get to know the South African history. Everything was very well organized, pick up and drop off at the hotel, lunch at Vilakazi street‘s Sakhumzi restaurant.

We booked our trip through Wayne at MoAfrika tours. Our trip was two different lodges in the Sabi Sands. I cannot say enough good about how well Wayne did, helping us navigate this trip and all of the details. Details from the lodges, transfer companies, the two nights we stayed in Johannesburg, and everything in between. He answered all questions and concerns in a very timely manner leading up to the trip, and even after arriving. He set up zoom calls to listen to what it was we wanted out of the trip, and boy, did he deliver!! The entire experience was far beyond and far exceeded our expectations. I would happily book future trips through Wayne and MoAfrika Tours. Every detail was taken care of. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a trip to Africa. We will return in the future, and will happily contact Wayne for that trip!

Our trip included stay at The Safari Club, in Johannesburg (a hidden gem in the city! Not a typical hotel)! Umkumbe River Lodge, and Elephant Plains Lodge, both in the Sabi Sands! All exvellent places and highly recommend any of them!

Hi there Jason and Karla, It was an absolute pleasure having you on safari with us in the Sabi Sands and assisting you with the accommodation in Johannesburg. Wayne certainly goes out of his way to make sure that guests traveling with us have a wonderful time, before, during, and after their travels. Sometimes I think Wayne does not sleep at all, as he is always on standby and ready to assist with any questions/recommendations and loves chatting online with guests to make sure that we offer the best safari experience. Umkumbe and Elephant Plains are amazing lodges in the Sabi Sands, for sure. I have looked into the photos you posted here for us and looks like you had an amazing time. Wayne and MoAfrika Tours are here to assist you when you travel again and looking forward to having you back on another photographic safari with us in the near future. We wish you safe travels and see you soon. Anthony Colia MoAfrika Tours CEO

I got in touch with the agency through WhatsApp. They were very responsive. I was based in Pretoria and they also provided me a pick and drop to Pretoria.

We did see all the historical touristy places like Constitutional Hill, the Apartheid museum, Hector Peterson Museum, Mandela house, the football stadium a drive through Soweto, and Soweto tower.

In a number of places, there were tour guides available who took you through the museums and sights

I think that's pretty much what you can do in a day.

Our guide Thabang was knowledgable, friendly, and efficient, and he ensured everyone was comfortable and well looked after.

I do think we could have spent more time on Vilakazi Street...

It can be a good, safe tour for a solo female traveler and if you have a day you can see many key things.
