Amazing experience, saw lots of animals. The animals were behaving like they would in the wild. Very lovely scenery with indigenous tree cover, plenty of watering holes. The way they dammed the rainfall to enhance the small lakes were done sensitively. The guide was a pro.

This experience was very good. It started with the driver Khutso who shared a lot of insights before we even started the game. Then, our guide Desmond very committed made sure we had a great time and saw as much as possible. The morning was quiet and we could clearly see he would not give up. We finally spotted elephants, rhinos, girafes, zebras and other antilopes / cows like. Many thanks.

Thanks a lot to Emma - she is an excellent guide and told us a lot of the history. That was really amazing! For sure one of the highlights of the journey! Big thank you again!

A colleague and me had two free days in Johannesburg and we wanted to enjoy some of SA's nature. The descision to do the two day trip to Pilanesberg was brilliant. We got up quiet early to be picked up by Arnold at around 6:00 a.m.. He brought us to the park in a Mini-Van with 10 others. It might be a little annoying if you're the first to be picked up and have to visit all the other hotels, but that's the wait it is and we didn't really bother. At around 9:00 we reached Pilanesberg and everybody but the two of ust left to go on a day trip with the park rangers. That was actually wonderful because we had a private tour with Arnold, who is not a ranger, but knew a lot about the park and managed what the rangers couldn't do: we saw two leopoards. Okay.. maybe we were just lucky, they were really far away in a tree and we just found them because of all the other cars around - but it was a great start. Between 11 and 12 we reached the lodge - people were very friendly and relaxed and the lodge itself was the most beautiful place I ever stayed in. We couldn't get to the rooms before 2:00 p.m. - but we just had (free) coffee and juices until there was "tea" (meaning small lunch) at around 2:00 and we left for our afternoon safari at 4:00 p.m. In the open safari jeep we were guests and Dewald our guide. Everything was very interesting - lots of explanations and time to ask questions. In total we saw all of the "Big 5" (thanks to Arnold's Leopards) Zebras, Giraffes, Gnus, a honey badger, Hippos, Cheetahs in the distance...many birds and I probably forgot many more. We had a stop to enjoy the sunset with cold drinks and returned home when it was dark, had a great dinner around the campfire, another morning tour (that's when we saw lions and cheetahs) and a safe trip home to Joburg. The only sad thing is that we didn't have more time to spand at the lodge... I necer slept so good. There was a huge tub and an outside shower that we couldn't even use and all the food was more than delicious. We are very happy that we went on this tour. Given the short time that we had - there's noting better to do, I suppose. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a lasting memory!
