I can't thank Ilan enough for the wonderful tour he provided. He is very professional, knowledgeable and well respected in the community. He provides an unpretentious tour of the "real" Soweto. In addition to provided a wonderful tour, Ilan is a great photographer. He took a lot of pics that I will cherish forever. Recently, I lost all the data on my hard drive. I reached out to IIan to see if he had those pictures and he did.IIan responded to my email swiftly and sent the pics he took right over. THANK YOU!

We had an exceptional day with tour guide Ilan to kliptown and Soweto. Would highly recommend this tour as he knew the locals so well and has a really interesting history with, and connections to the area! He captured our experience beautifully and sent us wonderful photos of our time. We were able to meet and talk to the locals and he even arranged for us to have a lesson on the traditional African drums!

Most amazing experience!! I've been on a couple trips with Tour Soweto (Ilan) one before cobid where I saw amazing sites and ate stunning food. And a couple since cobid where we went to Kliptown to hand out food and supplied during the pandemic. Absolutely amazing experience. Very touching and great company to do it all with!!

Kulani at Spurwing was an awesome guide sharing historical knowledge of Johannesburg, Soweto, Mandela, Constitution Hill Prison, Courthouse, Apartheid Museum, Hector Peterson Memorial... His historical knowledge and sharing provided additional insights into the social, economic, political history of this country. It was a day tour, an extremely powerful opportunity to learn, reflect and understand the struggles, hopes, aspirations and victories of the country. The question below in the 'Could you say a little more about it?' section: Is the attraction exciting, unusual or risky to visit needs to be rephrased or removed. At no point did I feel this was a risky tour. The tour guide shared the plan for the day and off we went. Exciting yes simply because of the level of knowledge and exposure shared.

Photojournalism is frightening for many because it records what happened at the time it happened. If you trust the photojournalist you trust the information being given, in pictures.
