I went with the red bus and I loved it. The guide in the bus was very funny. I saw the house of Nelson Mandela. It’s a safe place and the people are very nice and friendly.

It is impossible to visit SOWETO without feeling like an interloper, even with a local guide. You are taken through narrow alleyways past what are essentially shacks constructed largely of wood and corrugated metal, with no running water and, only occasionally, purloined electricity. These types...More

Fascinating way to learn the history of South Africa and how the people rose to end apartheid. Full of emotions. We did the tour with Moafrica and it was nicely done....including a stop at the Soweto Museum. Just in case you are wondering...it all felt...More

Our main interest was to see the Mandela residence. Thoroughly satisfied. The neighborhood was also very interesting and lively. Highly recommend visitors to make this trip to Soweto.

Our guide, Thabang, from Moafrika, explained people lives and the reasons behind those who've been living here. You could see a huge gap between rich and poor, and could sense that people here were striving to live.

We were driven around Soweto and found this to be a good way to get an understanding of the history and life in this area. There are lots of street sellers as you walk to the various attractions. We felt safe though the next day...More

I would not recommend to visit Soweto. Is a shame to show this to tourists . Just go to your city and look for the poor people quarters. Go to the museum to visit the discovery of the Homo Naledi. Very interesting for kids... More
