We visited with our South African family who had never been. It was a real amazing experience learning about the different tribes. The best by far was the dancing at the end amazing

I think the rating here depends pretty much on what you arr looking for. In my case, having just arrived, I wanted a nice afternoon activity that wasn't too heavy but gave me an intro to African culture. And Lesedi was a perfect choice. You get really interesting info about the different peoples of South Africa: their villages, language, customs... More

A wonderful place to learn South African culture . All the huts were very well designed to express different cultures. . Rooms were safe and spacious . Food was okay . The pathway to our rooms were very muddy and uneven to walk on , it just needs some improvements . Overall the hotel was a great place to stay... More

A great place to come to understand our diverse cultures. The staff were very helpful, and assisted us in having very joyous time. The food was excellent, for the establishment! Well done! The accommodations are in need of repair and upgrading. The wheelchair bound would find it a bit difficult, would need assistance if staying overnight, The pathways are very... More

This village is overrun by people from central Africa and people from the east. There is a definite cultural vibe, but which culture I'm not sure. Chinese products abound.

So glad we visited Lesedi, it was a good way of learning about the different tribes and languages in SA. The tour guide was excellent, talented speaking so many languages, and he kept everyone informed and interested as we walked around each themed village. The dancing at the end of the tour was full of energy and the dancers enjoyed... More

Having read the mixed reviews on this site, I wasn't sure whether to include this attraction on one of our "extra" days in the Jo'burg area. Because it has a different focus from the other top attractions we visited (Apartheid Museum, Soweto, Liliesleaf Farm, Voortrekker Monument, City Sightseeing Bus), I decided to include it and was glad. For us it... More

Highly recommended. Much of Joburg is about the history of apartheid. We wanted to add to that by better understanding the culture of Africa and Lesedi was an excellent way to have that experience. It is absolutely worth the drive and you should allow about 4 hours. We stayed for the much and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plan to arrive for... More
