If you do not have time to travel all over south Africa to see some of the different cultural groups, this is a good place to meet and see a few of the larger groups. It has a good mix of some of the cultures and also have a good menu to taste some of the African good African dishes.

A family group of 7, with children. We stayed for the day and overnight. The welcome is spine tingling and the cultural show brilliant albeit so so noisy! The feast and breakfast was fantastic. Staying in a Zulu style hut with twin showers - one outside was better that the huts in Kruger - a bit of aircon and brighter... More

I have lived in the immediate area for years, driven past them more times than I can count. It took relocating to the USA and a visit to SA to experience this place. Best description is to liken it to the Venetian in Vegas. You will note the attention to detail, the intensity of the experience - the immersion that... More

This was an excellent tour that my family enjoyed. It was educational and hands on. An experience you will enjoy and leave with a greater appreciation of the African culture that a text book can't teach you. I recommend a wheel chair for the elderly because of the higher elevations. My mother who is 84 walks slow because of back... More

I was travelling through Johannesburg on Business and I had an afternoon to spare. I'm so glad that I managed to get out to Lesedi, as I left with a greater appreciation of the different tribes of South Africa. The craft market as you enter the Village was also very good with reasonably priced takeaways. Highly recommended for those who... More

The two hour tour starts with a movie introducing you to the different tribes. You then get led by an experienced, charismatic, knowlegable, humorous guide. He takes you on a walking tour of the various Tribal Kraals, explaining briefly the historical and cultural attributes of each tribe. The tour ends with in the auditorium with a lively dance exhibition, once... More

First hand experience and learning about different African tribes, their live, habits and culture. Lesedi cultural village is set up to showcase tribal life and differences between tribes. It is an unique experience. Staff demonstrate different tribal habits, dances, etc. I loved the accommodation set up , it takes you way back in time. They serve rich tasty buffet dinner.... More

My friend booked the Lesedi village tour and lunch for me so that I could quickly learn a little about the many South African tribes, their culture, way of life and the food, on my 2nd day in SA. The tour starts with a video, then you walk through 5 model villages, one for each of the 5 tribes featured,... More
