Friends and I often used to cycle there and my wife and I go to eat, its a bit dark to stroll at night so be aware.

Great Sunday art exhibition on the zoo lake lawns so very interesting local artist and great south African works will be going again soon

Not like the Zoo lake i remember was a kid. This place is gone down, way down. Rather go to the zoo opposite the road. Its dirty, unkept and not safe. Attracts rowdy crowd especially in the evenings.

Sometimes it is good to go when the weather is poor and others will stay away. We took our children for the experience of the fresh air on a cloudy, cool day and had a great time paddling around from our choice of boats.

I must say the lake is really beautiful and a must see when in Johannesburg. We really enjoyed riding the raft in the lake. It's only R30 for two adults which makes it affordable.

Took my little niece there to play on the jungle gym and to feed the ducks. Its a nice place to sit and pass your time there.
