Great opportunity to explore Joburg with affordable prices. Buses depart every 30 minutes and goes to the main museums and attraction around Joburg. Paying a bit more (I thought was pricey) you can take a van and explore Soweto.

This tour was cheap, stopped at some very cool locations, and the buses ran on time like clock-work. The SOWETO add on is a must; the tour guide was very knowledgeable and very funny.

I believe it is the safest and most cost effective way of visiting Joburg. I was on my own, so I decided it would be safe to be on the bus, rather that walking alone. I had a flight to catch that very same day in the afternoon and I can assure the schedule is followed, they are very punctual!... More

It is a very good option to visit a new city. With my wife decide spend our honey moon vacation in South Africa. And have been a very good decision. The City sightseeing had been the best way to visit an unknown city

Anyone visiting Joburg and wanting to get around to the key sights should take full advantage of the bus. I learned the hard and expensive way by getting guided tours to specific locations. Towards the end of my stay I jumped on the bus for an afternoon and realized how cheap, easy and reliable it was. Highly recommended!

Two of us decided to do a city tour of Johannesburg on the Hop On Hop Off bus. We chose the Red City Tour. Very hot upstairs, but we were lucky to get under cover at the front of the bus. Tour took about an hour and a half. Always good value the Hop On Hop Off buses. Tip: Some... More

As we had only one day to discover Johannesburg we opted to let us be driven around by the red bus. It was a very enjoyable experience. We also booked the Soweto option and this allowed us to visit Nelson Mandela's house and the way many people are living their lives in South-Africa. On the tour you will see anything:... More

as an immigrant who lives in Johannesburg for more than 5 years, this trip is a permanent item when we receive visitors from Antwerp Belgium. On average we are pampered about 3 hours with various stories about Johannesburg, these are through by an audio system in different languages and brought very accurate.

We arrived in Jo'burg a day before our tour started, so chose to take the city tourist bus to give us an overview of the city. The commentary was excellent- informative and entertaining- and available in 16 languages! We got off the bus twice- at the Apartheid Museum/ Gold Reef City Theme park, and at Braamfontein. We felt quite safe.... More

We rode the bus to the Apartheid Museum and had a good time. It was raining the whole time, and the museum closed before the bus had come back...so we opted to hop an Uber. Overall good tour, but there isn't that much to see in Joburg. The background on how the city was founded I enjoyed, but the actual... More
