JHB is a big city. The Red city bus tour is a great way of getting around. The tour is well organised and easy to know when to get off for different attractions or switch lines. I was travelling alone on a business trip so...More

This trip was enlightening. The route plans are well thought and help capture the essence of Johburg. Loved it.. especially the Soweto experience.

I took the Green Tour and the City Tour combined with the Soweto Tour and I think it was a really good introduction to Johannesburg. You get to see the main sights in Jo'burg and you get the basic information about them. Sometimes I would...More

Perfect way of getting a good overview of Johannesburg. We stopped at several spots along the way and found it a convenient way of getting around.

Being in Johannesburg on business and having just one day as a tourist, I took the red bus. A good tour: buses clean and tidy, the commentary worked, the green and red routes are varied with a number of interesting stops and the buses ran...More

We bought tickets for the Red Bus which also gives you access to the Green bus and so we landed up doing both, and were glad that we did. The green route takes you through the leafier and more affluent suburbs of Johannesburg whilst the...More

The citybus takes 2 hours for a trip. Unless you go down and explore the stops it really not much. It shows the typical buildings they have which is a little bit boring after doing the capetown route. It gives a good insight though of...More

I grew up in the greater Johannesburg area, but took my British friend on the bus. It was definitely worth it, as you get to see so much of Joburg you don't particularly want to drive to and find parking etc. I'd advise getting a...More

I'm visiting Johannesburg and Cape Town July 8-15, and still not sure how to pack. I don't think I will be on a safari but we are doing a lot of sightseeing. Articles say wear long sleeves and scarfs, boots etc. I see temps of 60-65 F, as highs. Normally in Southern US, that would be short sleeves and jacket weather but I don't know how South Africa 65 f, feels. I fear packing long sleeves and sweaters that I will get hot. Once we leave the hotel, we are out all day, 3 days in Johannesburg and 3 days in Cape Town. Would short sleeve shirts, with a denim jacket or a cardigan sweater keep me warm? I have running sneakers and skinny jeans as my bass. Or do you really think I need to pack long sleeves/sweaters. I'm bringing a fleece type jacket along with a denim. Will I need much more? IPlease reply soon. I'm so confused and leave in 2 weeks for my trip.
