Jenny Rahme Production - Awesome show severely let down by the theater. Poor sound and a dingy, seemingly dirty theater (surprised it's still operating). Also had the extreme misfortune of encountering the owner(acting as a rude, inefficient parking attendant) - a real oxygen thief. Theater best avoided at all cost.

The Show was fantastic the bar is a nightmare on arrival we tried to order 8 bottles of water to be advised they had run out. Not bad considering the theater was about half full the eventually got more from upstairs, at the interval we finally managed to order as the bell went to go back in the the bartender really wasn't interested in what we wanted to order. Next time I think we'll do the show and bring our own drinks at least that way we may get to have something without disturbing the bartenders. Again I say the show was fantastic and the theater is very intermit. We went on the 23 of December 2016❤️🎉

This theater is a landmark in Johannesburg and is very old. It is quite small
and intimate which is a good thing for one man shows or where audience
participation is required.
Unfortunately the night we went the air con was not working and it was
extremely hot thank goodness you are allowed to take drinks inside with
you.
We also had the buffet dinner at the resturant at the theater it was very average.
All in all a good experience.

I feel sorry for this place not being able to make ends meat. It is quite good and the show that is on is enjoyable. I do suggest that they have a new shows more often as it is a bit stagnant. Worth a visit if you haven't been before!

My wife and I attended this show on our recent trip in South Africa. its incredible. We enjoyed so much.
All music is performed by musicians and you can see them with their colorful costumes, etc.
I can highly recommend it to visit it.

The African dance show usually on there is very popular with visitors. The restaurant, though convenient is clumsily run. The palce has a dilapidated air.

Small intimate Theatre. I've been a few times and enjoyed every single show I've ever seen. This is an old Theatre and you can also eat here. I only ate there once and the food was okay. I like the 'smallness' and 'intimacy' of this Theatre as opposed to large modern theatres.

Booked dinner and a show, my advice, have dinner elsewhere before the show. Kingklip R149, with cold stodgy veg and rice. Steak claimed to be 300g, our estimate no more than 220g.

Could be a great evening out, try get restaurant to be the attraction not the convenience

On the recommendation of our concierge at the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel in Johannesburg, we went to the Victory Theater to see a live performance of "UMOJA The Spirit of Togetherness." It was wonderful! It is a musical performance featuring a historical timeline of singing, dancing and drums of the indigenous people of South Africa. It is a visually beautiful and exciting tribute to the music and dancing of the South African people performed by the South African people. It was one of our highlights in Johannesburg. You can buy tickets for just the performance or add a dinner before the show. It is an intimate theater...not really a bad seat in the house. We just did the performance--it was surprisingly affordable. Snacks and refreshments are available at intermission. One recommendation...unless you are very familiar with the area, I would suggest you have a driver take you and pick you up immediately after the show...it is not in a great area of the city...but we never felt unsafe.

It still had the an old feel about it and provided intimacy with the show on stage, but parking was a problem.
