Absolutely love this park! We bring our dogs almost every week... they run and play and swim in the dams/ ponds! Park is immaculately manicured and extremely clean and neat! Would recommend to any nature or animal lovers... picnics are popular here as well!

Built on hills it offers beautiful views and has many species of trees and plants with good walkways and paths which showcase sculptures and the vegetation of Southh Africa

My grand-nephew had his 2nd birthday party on the field overlooking the dam. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the botanical gardens are reasonably well-kept. Great place to walk and enjoy tranquillity away from the buzzing city and traffic. And entrance is free.

I went to the Botanical gardens for the first time in about 20 years last week and I was so impressed with the standards. The gardens are magnificent, spotlessly clean and surrounded by gorgeous emmarentia dam and park which are both a delight.

This is trully a beautiful place and excellent views. Although seems to be quite a safe place i would recommend to visit it with a local person. Better than the Gautrain!

I come to this park about twice a year, sometimes for a sports event othertimes for a picnic. The rose and herb gardens are a bit neglected, compared to how they use to be. Its a large park so you can bring your dogs for a walk and swim in the upper dams, cycle or run around. There are a... More

Although this is a large park with paths leading to various areas, such as the Rose Garden, I was disappointed at the lack of information at the entrance. In addition, in a few places the paths are in need of repair, and I wonder if this could not be paid for by charging a small entrance fee to the park,... More
